Up 'til now I didn't even know she had a daughter, but does anyone know who the father of Teena Marie's 16 year old daughter is?

Here are a few pics of Teena and her daughter:

Obviously the girl's father is a black guy, many have assumed it is the late great Rick James because Teena was involved with him for a while, but I highly doubt that's true. Teena's daughter doesn't look anything like Rick to me.

That is not Lady T.

***********000000]Singer Teena Marie a.k.a Mary Christine Brockert is an American Grammy Award-nominated R&B/Soul singer/songwriter/producer. The soulful singer has one daughter named Alia Rose(Rose is her middle name),16,who is an aspiring singer. In fact,Alia Rose sang duet with her mom on album Sapphire,Teena’s album released in 2006.Although Teena has remained private about her personal life, she has said this about her daughter Alia Rose:”She’s a little Sista, she’s just naturally a Sista. She always jokes with me and says, ‘I didn’t get my soul from my dad, I got it from my Momma.’” It’s funny because Alia’s father is Black; he’s a postman.”[/COLOR]

I loves me some TM. She might be a little way-back for many here though.

Sir Nose:
You and I are contemporaries, so I certainly remember with great, great fondness Teena Marie. Whew! Brings back many a good memory: I am talking Square Biz baby!! Behind the Groove and the Portuguese Lover are other classics, with the latter having some real sentimental value. For the WW on here, Ms. Marie was the first WW celebrity crush
for many of us. She had a sexy diamond nose stud before it was even considered popular. She is a goddess to many of us. By the way: we ALL would love to claim her daughter as our baby!!!

Thank you FLY GIRL. When I saw the first picture, I KNEW that wasn't Teena. I remember Teena as a pale white girl, no doubt in your mind that she was white.

Then,...we must utilize some stimulus money or something to find her. She is the architect of our interracial desires for many of us and must be found for sure. I have been "squirrely" all day just thinking about her. Seriously, I saw a shot of her on a tv ad for a concert and, let's just say: she's changed a bit.

Yeah, remember when you found out she was white? It was after her first album which was devoid of her pic. It was like, all that sound outta some 4 ft nothin white girl? No way! ;)

I know about teena, I got alot of
uncles and aunts that have her stuff
This is the pic on an album cover I used to always see in
my uncle's house when I was little...

I swear Joss Stone's swagger is that of Teena Marie's.
I swear they have the same kind of swagger.

And the thing I like about white folks doing R&B and Soul like Teena,
Joss Stone and Robin Thicke is that they don't change. They're white
folks with soul and they keep that swagger, unlike justin timberlake
who I think is lost on who he is an artist and Pink who came out with
an R&B album and out of no where just dropped her souful swag for
punk rock. Nothin wrong with punk rock, but where is the honesty at
with who you are, if you aint no soulful whitegirl or guy then stop fakin'.
And that is what I like about them three, their swagger is self made and
not made up.

Thanks for the memorable cover photo, Kenny. Your aunts and uncles have great taste.

Here's is a song from Teena Marie that may gave you a hint that she was into the brothers.
