Okay, this is my story and I'm stickin to it. He didn't kill Nichole and Ron. He saw it happen, hence the long drive around in the bronco. Everything else lead into the Vegas crap. He needed money...that was his stuff (memorbilia). He felt the need to take it. That's my story. Feel in the details. And you can't persuade my thoughts about him.. LOL
LOL - Mista, I live in the same city as you. I'll debate you in person if you wish. It would be a friendly debate..LOL
So robbery is okay and condoned if the stuff once belonged to you? and what about when he used to beat the hell of his wife-do you condone that? I don't condone criminal activity of any kind! That's my story and i'm stickin to it.
No robbery is not okay. I just think the poor man had nothing except his memorbilia. That's all he had left. It was his...Someone took it. He could not make a living doing anything else...his life was cursed.
I read he tried to retreive his memorabilia through legal means but law enforcement rebuffed him. The point is he took two lives and should have just let this offense slide in light of what he got away with. He had also planned a victory party and was stunned by the verdict. All this could have been avoided had he used his head. Now his girlfriend has split on him too.
OJ get's what he deserves. I have no pity for him. I too once had to deal with a painful breakup, once upon a time, but then, so does 50% of all American marriages that end in divorce, but you don't hear about the mothers of all these kids getting offed like Nicole, do ya? OJ had it all. Money, fame, admiration, and most importantly, easy open access to many beautiful women. Why he felt the need to not let his ex go on about her business is beyond me. Now after causing an insanely polarizing world wide controversy, and backlash with the help of his dream team keeping him out of jail for the rest of his life, he was free to live better than the Pope. This idiot OJ is old enough to know he didn't have enough leeway to even sneeze in public, after skating on TWO trials, yet he goes, and tries to retreive some artifacts, he'd have surely lost in a first conviction anyways? So he get's what he deserves. Stupid is, as stupid does.
I'm for OJ and I do believe he was lynched by a all-white jury. His stupidity got the best of him. It will be a long time before he does get out.
It is indeed racism that OJ was found guilty. A all white jury with no Blacks is not fair. Today Dr.Phil is talking about the case like a rooster. It is true Spector and Blake are sleeping good because of their color.
So are you saying that an all black jury would find him innocent of a crime with the evidence and no reasonable doubt that he committed this crime of robbery? Granted a lot of jury's in the past have not been fair in our judicial system-but when there is evidence that is blatent and can't be argued and lied about- do you really think people need to find a fool not guilty?:smt017
The Truth: Most black folk that I know weren't really "rooting" for OJ back in '95 but instead rooting for Johnny Cochran because of all the good work he did representing the little man back in L.A. particularly in cases involving police brutality/civil rights etc. People forget that OJ wasn't thought of too highly in the black community after 1977 (roughly speaking). I'm about 95% sure that OJ committed the murder of Ron Goldman and Nicole Brown...but part of the reason he got off was the fact that the LAPD tampered with the evidence (at least a little). It may have been because they were ignorant of how valuable DNA could be...or it may have been a case of them trying to frame a black man...we will never know. But the LAPD's notorious history made them a target...and Mark Furhman's recorded conversations didn't help matters. OJ probably did it...but I think a reasonable number of people believed that the LAPD was going to try and frame him whether he did it or not. They screwed themselves out of an easy conviction. Besides...all the people that complain about OJ getting "the star treatment" and that the justice system is unfair should look at the numbers showing how young black men get convicted at much higher rates (2 to 6 times higher) for committing the same crimes as young white men when both sides have comparable criminal histories. If you care that damn much about justice....protest on that (I won't hold my breath..trust me!) As for the new trial...he was on tape. He committed a crime and that's obivious. Certainly he was set up because no one just randomly has a tape on them to record that sort of thing. But again...OJ screwed up. The man is a 60-something year old, Heisman-Trophy winning, Hall of Fame football player...he should have done like Jim Brown did and settled down...made some Blaxploitation flicks and counseled former Blood and Crip gang members in Los Angeles. On the subject of an all-white jury...I don't think it's necessarily racist considering that about 70% of the U.S.A. is white but I seriously doubt that a white man accused of committing a crime against a black person would ever have to worry about facing an all-black jury....I guarantee that more all-black juries would even out the disparities in the jails. Maybe it isn't fair...but that's the TRUTH. Odd coincidence that the verdict for this trial came on the 13th (the 13th...an "unlucky" number in our culture) anniversary of the not guilty verdict in the murder trial of 1995...
Anyone just seen the OJ sentencing? I was watching it live on the news. He and Clarence Stewart have been given their sentences. He will be serving at least 15 years to life for kidnap and armed robbery amongst other charges. Justice finally served??
I don't feel bad for him. I felt he got away with it in '95, but that should have had no bearing on this case. He broke the law. He got convicted. I guess he'll think twice about breaking into a building brandishing guns and taking things now. And he'll have at least 15 years to think about it too. The Juice got canned
