This shit is scary! Beyond the slightest doubt Palin ain't qualified to be vice-president. And if she ain't qualified to be vice-prez...she sure as hell shouldn't be anywhere near the White House. This also shows that McFossil has extremely poor judgment. Y'all, let's put Barack Obama in the White House. http://voices.washingtonpost.com/th..._with_russia_palin_talks_fo.html?hpid=topnews The Kid Rasta
Is Obama running against Palin or McCain? Ever since McCain announced Palin as his running mate, he seems to have disappeared! It's all about Palin. And the more I find out about her, the more convinced I am of my choice of Obama!
You have to realize Kid, there are people who are willing to vote for McCain/Palin than to have a black man in the Oval Office.
She has excited the base and given the ticket a considerable bounce in the polls, plus no one really knows who she is. Once the novelty wears off, the focus should shift back to Obama/McCain.
Personally, I believe Obama should concentrate on McCain. But if Americans does elect this duo (McCain/Palin) we deserve all we get from them. Curious, I wonder what the world is saying about us.
God the idiocy of some people on this board amazes me. Did any of you even READ the article? It mentions NO WHERE that the US would declare War on Russia. Read the f'ing article.
Russia is headed by a thug and we must ready for anything , but there will not be a war. We need to off of foreign oil and stop sending money to Russia and the Middle east.
More Tough Questions to Palin I believe there should be more tough questions to Palin since she had no clue about Russia and dispite being Governor of Alaska she did not have a passport until recently. The Obama campaign should play hard against her.
Nor did I state that Mrs Mooseburger delclared war on Russia. The beotch was suggesting war with Russia in an interview. Well, you don't even suggest war with Russia...cause Russia's got a shitload of nukes. Got that!? You need to read the title of my thread. The Kid Rasta
Yea dude....because it's so easy to infer into what people subliminally think. It's f'ing NATO DOCTRINE that if a country goes to war with a NATO ally, it's declaring war on NATO itself. Russia invaded a NATO ally. Fill in the corresponding conclusion moron. Go back to sitting at your computer and looking up Enquirer pictures about supposed IR relationships. That's your bread and butter. Nothing that is intellectual.
You don't seem to be suggesting anything brilliant yourself... In fact, you don't seem to be suggesting anything at all, so I'm not sure of what you would classify as "intellectual input". And what does the objective of this site have anything to do with this off-topic discussion? I don't even like IR relationships and yet I look at these current event sections all the time... Just a guilty pleasure :smt025
It's a perfect reason why the US should get out of these mutual aid alliances. If there ever was a need for NATO, it went away 20 years ago. But government programs never go away It's not the job of the US to be the protector of the world. Our job is to defend our soil (in our own country) against attack. Since Russia didn't attack us, we have no business in that area (or any of the 100+ countries we are in) On a side note, I've seen and heard many criticisms of President Bush's foreign policy decisions from the left (I agree with many of them). But how many people on the left criticized former President Clinton for invading Kosovo or Haiti, or threating to invade Iraq, or hitting a baby milk factory in the Sudan? It seems to me that they're only up in arms because the Republican President is going around warmongering. But do not think that Democrats are caring peaceniks. Just like Republican Presidents, they have been known to use force against countries who don't bend to their will
Co-sign. I don't want to get into a Clinton debate, but I've been saying that for a long, long time. It's nice to see I'm not the only one.
So I trust you weren't one of the ones who were bitching when oil was 4$ a gallon right? Because isolationism would drive the barrel up over at least 6$ a gallon without the concept of US protection. And the United States will never resort to isolationism again. A little event in 1942 broke that barrier down.
An increasing number of Floridians side with McCain when told that the candidate advocates expanded drilling to drive down prices, said Brad Coker of Mason-Dixon Polling and Research in Washington. According to a Mason-Dixon poll conducted over the summer, at least 6 in 10 Floridians now support drilling. "It's become a national security issue because of wars in the Mideast and Russia's newfound bravado and aggression," Coker said.
No actually I wasn't. I think the government should stop putting restrictions on oil companies to drill. If there's oil in ANWR or other places, the companies should be allowed to drill. Secondly, I am not an isolationist. I believe in non-intervention. The US military's only job is to defend the US against attack. I fail to see how we are doing that when we have troops in over 100 countries. If you believe it's a worthwhile goal to go around the world and liberate other countries, maybe you should raise some money for a private army and go fight. But I doubt you would do that. This shows me that conservatives are not much different from liberals. Both groups want to use force to get what they want from government. Liberals want the government to fund health care and sex ed and social services. Conservatives want more military adventurism and restrictions on personal liberties I think you're referring to the little event in 1941, not 1942. But be that as it may, it was unfortunate that the US was drawn into WWII. This was one of the most unnecessary wars we have ever been in. Germany posed no threat to the US. They would have never been able to attack us.
