The Nerdz Lounge.

Biggest drawback with all these corporate buyouts & mergers, especially under Trump, means more studio interference and less creative control for filmmakers. Meaning less variety of certain genres or sanitized & dumb downed versions of genres. Bottomline the corporate interests will mandate content they want made for bottom line purposes rather than content audiences will actually want to see.
Yeah, which is why I think the tedium of corporate mass market movies will only accelerate the inevitable day when a fully AI-generated feature-length movie with theatrical quality is released. It will cost a fraction of the budget of a "real movie," it will be distributable outside of the studio system, and if it looks good enough, people won't care that it isn't real.

DC/Marvel: Superman/Spider-Man #1 (One-Shot)
Publisher: DC Comics
Release Date: March 25, 2026

Publisher Description:

When journalists Clark Kent and Peter Parker find themselves chasing the same story, the conspiracy they uncover could change the world—especially if Brainiac and Doctor Octopus have anything to say about it. (And we bet they do!) Good thing our intrepid newshounds are secretly Superman and the amazing Spider-Man. To bring this clash of reporters‑turned‑heroes to life, Mark Waid and Jorge Jiménez join forces to headline DC's Superman/Spider-Man #1 with an unforgettable lead story.

The bonus stories in DC's Superman/Spider-Man #1, all featuring DC and Marvel characters: Tom King and Jim Lee tell a tale of Lois Lane and Mary Jane Watson, Matt Fraction and Steve Lieber revisit Superman’s pal Jimmy Olsen and Carnage, Sean Murphy takes us to the future with Superboy (Legion) and Spider-Man 2099, Gail Simone teams up with Belén Ortega for a look at what happens when Power Girl meets Punisher, Christopher Priest and Daniel Sampere show us a time when Superboy Prime decided to visit Spider-Man right after he got the black suit, and Greg Rucka and Nicola Scott take us on an exciting race between the Daily Planet and the Daily Bugle.

They should have filmed the entire 3 seasons of the series back-to-back-to-back, to keep the age of the characters consistent. This Aang looks old enough to drink.

I think they may be playing out the story "real time" compared to the animated series. That's the plus of both animation & comic books. You can play out years or decades of a story/stories while keeping characters virtually age locked.

Skybound will release a reprint of Marvel Team-Up #14 (in collaboration with Marvel Comics) with its Invincible crossover in March 2026, which Skybound has dubbed Invincible Month. In addition to the release of the new printing of Marvel Team-Up #14, Invincible Month is tied to the premiere of Season 4 of the Invincible animated series on Prime Video and will also feature the return of Invincible Universe: Battle Beast, reprints of the most in-demand issues, and new collections.

The reprint of the 2006 Marvel comic by Robert Kirkman, artist Cory Walker, and colorist Dave McCaig will be released by Image Comics.

Anyone watching Foundation or Fallout? I'm almost done with Foundation and about to start the new season of Fallout.

I bailed on Foundation, but I've heard good things, so I might go back to it. I am watching Fallout; I binged the first season and just watched the premiere of the second season. I really enjoy the show; it is clearly the most faithful video game adaptation ever.
