With a new Marvel Rivals trailer, Marvel has revealed that Wolverine, Black Widow, Iron Fist, Squirrel Girl, and Cloak and Dagger will be part of its upcoming 6 v 6 hero shooter. The company says in an announcement that each will be “fully revealed” in one trailer per day leading up to its December 6th launch.

 

Anyone play Cyberpunk 2077? If so, impressions?

 

I only played 5 or 6 hours of it. I had a lot of fun, the only issue I have is that I don’t have the patience for deep games anymore. If you do, check it out. Just remember that it’s not a “shooter” it’s an RPG, and it plays like one.

 

Yeah, I've played through the main game. I started out not liking it. I was playing it because I bought it and didn't want to have wasted my money. That whole cyberpunk aesthetic is just so depressing. But, now that I've gone through it and am about to play the Phantom Liberty expansion, I find myself liking it. My not liking it originally stems mostly from the hopelessness and grit of it all. That, and I've never been a fan of FPS's. But, it grew on me.

The last game I played was RDR2. Loved it. I need games that are deep. I'm finding that they really help to calm my mind at the end of the day. I only play for about 30 - 45 minutes at night. Then, I chill with my girl. All action hypes me up way too much before bed time. I need the long stretches of story and side missions in between.

 

And now that Tom Hiddleston has cornered the market on brilliant, maniacal arch villains...

What happened to her powers? Sorry, I haven't kept up with X-Men of late.


I think this show is great. Has anyone watched it?

 

She still has her powers (and then some presently), but they are going back & fleshing out an old storyline from the 90's with that particular (limited) series. If I recall correctly Rogue had lost her powers due to her & the rest of the X-Men at that time going through a mystical gateway called the Siege Perilous in order to escape from the mutant hunting cyborgs known as the Reavers. Going through the gate not only separated the team members to different locations but had weird side effects for some when they came through it. Rogue ended up in the Savage Land without her powers and eventually found herself teaming up with Magneto & Ka-Zar the Savage to stop some tribe war that had broken out in the Savage Land. I'm assuming the story they will be telling is taking place from the time frame right after she ended up in the Savage Land up to the point
she & Magneto became mutual allies.

 

I might have to check that out. Of late, I've been reading mostly Namor, Doctor Aphra, and Baltimore / Lady Baltimore, so I need to get current with the happenings across a series of titles.

 

Nightwing: Rebirth Omnibus


DC Comics will release Nightwing: Rebirth Omnibus, a collection of the Nightwing stories launched from the 2016 one-shot, next Spring. This 1492-page volume will collect stories written by Tim Seeley and others, with art by Javi Fernandez, Marcus To, Bernard Chang, and others. The cover is by Fernandez.

The character is Dick Grayson, who comes back as Nightwing to take back the streets of the city he loves.

Comics collected in the volume include Nightwing: Rebirth #1, Nightwing #1-49, Batgirl #14-17, Batman #7-8, Batman: Prelude to the Wedding: Nightwing vs. Hush #1, Detective Comics #941-942, Green Arrow #32, Red Hood and the Outlaws Annual #1, Suicide Squad #26, Teen Titans #12, and stories from Batgirl #25, DC Rebirth Holiday Special #1, and Robin 80th Anniversary 100-Page Super Spectacular #1.

Nightwing: Rebirth Omnibus will be released in hardcover on April 22, 2025 at $125.

 

Marvel Two-in-One Omnibus


Marvel Comics will publish omnibus-sized collections of its Marvel Two-in-One comics, with the first volume set for release on June 18, 2025. Marvel Two-in-One Omnibus, Vol. 1, will include Marvel Feature (1971) #11-12, Marvel Two-In-One (1974) #1-20, 22-36, Marvel Two-in-One Annual (1976) #1, Marvel Team-Up (1972) #47, and The Fantastic Four Annual (1963) #11.

The 888-page hardcover will have a cover by Gil Kane and a direct market-exclusive cover by John Buscema. It will have an MSRP of $100.

Marvel tested the idea of teaming up the Thing with different characters in Marvel Feature #11-12 and launched the Two-in-One series in 1974. The original series ran for 100 issues, plus seven annuals, from 1974 to 1983, and a revival, Marvel 2-in-One, ran for 12 issues in 2018-2019.

 

Prime Video has unveiled the teaser for Season 3 of its fantasy series The Wheel of Time.

The third season will premiere globally on March 13, 2025. The teaser was revealed at the Thunder Stage at CCXP24 in São Paulo, Brazil. Showrunner Rafe Judkins and cast members Josha Stradowski (Rand al’Thor) and Madeleine Madden (Egwene al’Vere) participated in a panel, sharing a fun and insightful conversation with hosts Aline Diniz and Ikaro Kadoshi.

They previewed the series’ upcoming action and shared what’s in store for many fans’ favorite characters. The teaser showcases a changing world, where the Shadow’s roots have taken hold and the battle between Light and Dark has become so consequential that Moiraine (series star Rosamund Pike) and Egwene will stop at nothing to keep from losing Rand to the darkness.

The show is an adaptation of Robert Jordan's fantasy book series The Wheel of Time. In it, a humble farm boy, Rand al’Thor, learns he is The Dragon Reborn—a dangerous figure from history destined to save the world… or break it. The Wheel of Time turns, and the Last Battle approaches.

Season two ended with Rand reuniting with his friends after defeating Ishamael at Falme and being declared the Dragon Reborn.

But in Season Three, the threats against the Light are multiplying: the White Tower stands divided, the Black Ajah runs free, old enemies return to the Two Rivers, and the remaining Forsaken are in hot pursuit of the Dragon, including Lanfear, whose relationship with Rand will mark a crucial choice between Light and Dark for them both.
