The graves of a Catholic woman and her Protestant husband, who were not allowed to be buried together, 1888:
The human species is crazy for the fact that there were men out there who could make Arnold Schwarzenegger look like Kevin Hart.
This one is great. We look back at this -- 150 years later -- and think "what in the heck, who cares if they were Protestant and Catholic? How could that ever have been unacceptable when today we have Hindus marrying Baptists, Catholics marrying Atheists, and no one even bats an eye?" And along the same lines, is my fervent hope that 100+ years from now, people will see the graves of the first black women who married Korean American men, or the first Black men married to White women, and think "how is it possible this was ever unacceptable?"
