This cast is phenomenal! I hope the script and direction follow suit.
Fantastic! I can't wait to see the second installment. Visually - out of this world. Cast - top knotch. Better pacing than David Lynch or the miniseries version, although the latter was pretty thorough. If you love the series or sci-fi generally, do yourself a favor and go see it.

Michael B. Jordan’s Producing Val-Zod Project for HBO Max

Darnell Metayer & Josh Peters are set to write Val-Zod, the HBO Max adaptation that Michael B. Jordan’s Outlier Society is producing for DC Entertainment and Warner Bros Television.

Val-Zod is the story of another Kryptonian with powers who hails from the same doomed planet as Superman, and he finds refuge on Earth 2. Like the original Man of Steel, he is sheltered on his adopted planet but eventually in the comics is pitted against a brainwashed Superman.

Metayer & Peters are prolific television and feature writers who broke onto the scene with their original pilot American Snow. Their project The Nola sold to Amazon with Sam Raimi directing.
Their one-hour pilot, Hannibal, based on the life of the Carthaginian general Hannibal, they scripted for Scott Free and Endeavor Content. Apple preemptively bought it with Creed II helmer Steven J. Caple Jr attached to direct. They recently worked on Transformers: Rise of the Beasts for Paramount Pictures.

There has been clamor and speculation for Jordan to play the Man of Steel, but it is unclear whether he might star in this one. At this point, he will be executive producer along with Elizabeth Raposo for Outlier Society.

It's a tie between Murder House and Roanoke for me.

It's a start we were looking for. Some pretty good minds behind it as well. Now we just have to wait and see how they re-envision this story for the screens(and do it some justice from the comic book story) which if done right could be up there with Man Of Steel and Superman II as the best superman movies in my opinion anyway.

I loved the first season too because @FX came out the box so hard with the violence and sex that it set an unprecedented echelon for me. I felt season 2 was the scariest one and touch upon an aspect of American history that I was utterly unaware of: the nexus between the Roman Catholic church and state funded insane asylums. The ending was a major let down but damn if the first 8 episodes weren't terrifying.

Trying not to get my hopes up because it is cancel-happy Netflix... but damn this looks good. John Cho in these trailers is killing it. Came a long way from harold & kumar. lol.

I've seen a lot of anime fans pre-judging this show, they seem to think it's going to "ruin" the original series. I don't understand that line of thinking, I liked the original anime and I'm looking forward to this. One show doesn't have to affect the other.

It's that fan boy logic and I don't get that either. They act as if doing a different take on something in a different medium invalidates the original. The original still exists if the new take isn't someone's cup of tea.

Exactly, I personally have had a lot of ups and downs with adaptations (The Last Airbender was atrocious, but I kind of liked the first Transformers movie.)
The only way I can understand the angst is if they mess with the "official canon" like the way they bungled Star Wars, and the new Star Trek: Picard. Even if they do, they (we) can just choose to ignore the new crap and remember the thing we loved.

"AHS 4: Hotel" was surpisingly good . . . because I didn't expect Lady Gaga to be so good!! She earned that Emmy and the story was captivating, scary, bloody violent and had an ass of sex scenes from Gaga!!

This is kind of intriguing, I am not sure if this is supposed to be a story in the "world" of Toy Story, (Like a movie that Andy is watching) or a separate story existing in its own world. Either way, I'm looking forward to it.

"Bbbbbut Kevin Smith killed off He-Man & made the whole series about Teela!!!! He ruined my childhood memories of the original show!!!! WAAAAAAAAAA!!!!"

Funny how nobody got upset that Skeletor was "killed" as well. SMDH.

Even if he’s not the main antagonist, there are bound to be references and Easter eggs, So he’s going to be in the movie somewhere.
