I went back in 2004, with a couple of professional partners to Ukraine....We went for 10 days....7 days in Odessa and 3 days in Kiev....I can tell you first hand that the women are curious but reserved when it comes to foreign black men...... It helps immeasurably to be able to speak the language, but who is willing to learn Ukrainian....Money, however is a universal language.....What I found disheartening was the number of poor begging and peddling Africans on the streets of both cities....I felt a combination of shame and pity and could understand why there would be a lack of respect for African brothers at the bottom of the economic rung in that country .......If I had to do it all over again, I would have gone directly to Sweden or Norway or Finland or Australia...It is an advantage to be amongst more developed English speaking women, who can discern and recognize American black men, which is also an advantage when traveling overseas....Other Slavic countries like the Czech Republic, Estonia and Poland have wonderful women, but there-again...the language barrier....
Language is always a barrier to communication. Communication leads to understanding. Many African immigrants have this one advantage, they speak the language of the colonising European power.
Our African brothers here in the US would cringe at your description of them. After all, they feel that description only applies to black americans.
Lol! There's an episode of Atlanta that touches on the African vs African American divide. Truly messed up but somehow amusing lol
I remember the photos from that guy who shared on this site years back. He was having fun in Ukraine.
