I can think of plenty of rural areas where the same would happen to anyone supporting/interning for a liberal, especially if they (both the intern and/or the pol) happen to be black.
It's pretty much that. Didn't bother to watch AC's interview. Not one sane person l know on either side finds a one-night stand over a decade ago with a porn-hoe..relevant or newsworthy. At the end of the day, Don is Teflon and they're beside themselves that he is. I believe they just viciously wanted to hurt Melania, who's been nothing but class as FLOTUS. What about you?
I can't believe this has Stormy Daniels controvesy has been headline news for the last month. I give 0 fuccs that Trump messed with this no-name pornstar on the side, years ago before he ran for president. Did we really learn anything new from that Stormy Daniels 60 Minutes interview? The only thing people talked about after that interview was that Trump told Daniels that she reminded him of daughter Ivanka. The public already knew about Trump's weird fetisization of Ivakna because all the creepy comments he's made about her in the media over the years, so it looks like interview was a bust.
Who the president fucks has always been newsworthy. What's happening now is absolutely nothing new at all. The only difference is that now we have more media outlets to cover it. Personally, I find it interesting; not because of Donnie's behavior (he's always been a lecherous piece of shit) but because of his evangelical christian supporters. Turning a blind eye to Trump's behavior despite all the things that they claim they stand for exposes them as the massive hypocrites that they've always been. The same people that couldn't criticize Clinton enough back in the 90s have been damn-near whisper quiet since before Donnie got sworn in.
Also, it's interesting to see how the POTUS and his personal lawyer deflect and deny the affair ever occurred, all while still trying to enforce a NDA Trump never signed.lol People need to be careful about believing character isn't an integral part of effective leadership. IMO there's no greater shame on the presidency than most Americans and the media believing Trump is a pathological liar and that's just who he is, so there's not point in focusing on it. Excuse me?? The current POTUS is accused of raw dogging a porn star. IMO that tells me all about him I need to know.
And? It was over a decade ago. Where was your .faux outrage for the last President who did cocaine?? Lol. You're funny. http://www.newshub.co.nz/home/world/2017/05/obama-s-coke-fuelled-sex-rampage-shocks-nation.html
One of my friends on FB wrote a pretty brilliant breakdown of the predicament that Trump put himself in by trying to play both sides of the fence when it came to the NDA. Of course, Donnie Moscow could have easily avoided all of this by not fucking a porn start while married to his wife in the first place but that's neither here nor there I suppose.
And now Paul Ryan is retiring too? Trump is doing more to damage his own party than Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer ever could.
Good. Drain the Swamp! Both Parties. All rotten and weak politicians out! Then we can have Americans first! Jobs first. Secure country first. <3
You do realize if the GOP keeps having congressmen retire before midterm elections, it's going to all but guarantee a Blue wave in November and impeachment proceedings against Trump in 2019? If you want to Trump to remain as POTUS, Republicans retiring before their terms are over is not a good thing.
Obstructing a federal investigation. But don't worry, when Mueller's investigation is through, his case against Trump will be strong enough to convince casual political observers that Trump needs to be removed from the WH. This isn't a court of law. The circumstantial evidence against Trump, his top aides and conspiring with Russians to win a presidential election is going to be damning. For instance, Cambridge Analytica is guilty of mining the personal data of FB users to micro-target millions of voters with fake news posts against HRC. Steve Bannon is a former founder of Cambridge Analytica, the company many believe supplied Russian bot farms with the FB user data to micro-target voters. Jared Kushner is the one who hired Cambridge Analytica to assist the Trump election team. And I believe there's a report that Trump's personal attorney, had a room he worked out of at a NY hotel which was the same location as the NY headquarters of Cambridge Analytica. Forget violating campaign finance laws to pay off the dozens of women, according to Steve Bannon, Trump paid off before the election. Forget about alleged money laundering for Russian oligarchs. The Trump collusion scandal will focus on the Trump campaign hiring a firm to secretly mine FB user data and then giving that data to Russian coders to flood social media with negative propaganda against HRC. Also, if Mueller can show the Trump campaign had prior info the Russians hacked the DNC and were going to post that stolen data on Wikileaks, impeaching Trump will be a cake walk.
Just dealing with the data issue...(have to go.. bbl to address your other points) I've personally heard audio of a high rwnking female FB employee brag about the info provided of users to Obama. If l can find it l will post it. Additionally, this is also Obama's campaign manager in '08 and '12.. Jim Messina: "We decided on the first day of the campaign to use data across department, uhh, because it was obviously the best avenue to the truth. And we ended up using data to inform almost every major decision we did in the campaign. And we had a singular goal to run a personalized campaign where you got a different campaign than you did, uh, all based on our ability to move you and persuade you to vote and support Barack Obama. And there’s 332 electoral votes that shows it worked." I say again...no one made Hillary ignore visiting States that swung.
I hear what you are saying Boba, but impeaching "and actually removing" a president is NEVER a cake walk no matter how damning the evidence. Bill Clinton lied under oath when questioned by a special prosecutor, then later admitted he lied when giving his testimony. That is textbook, to the letter, obstruction of justice, and while he was in fact impeached by the House he still won the trial in the Senate. The house would need to have a simple majority of republicans vote to impeach and the Senate would have to have 2/3rds vote to remove him. Those are VERY high bars to clear.
The Obama campaign and Cambridge Analytica both gained access to huge amounts of information about Facebook users and their friends, and in neither case did the friends of app users consent. But in Obama’s case, direct users knew they were handing over their data to a political campaign. In the Cambridge Analytica case, users only knew were taking a personality quiz for academic purposes. The Obama campaign used the data to have their supporters contact their most persuadable friends. Cambridge Analytica targeted users, friends and lookalikes directly with digital ads. Whereas the data gathering and the uses were very different, the data each campaign gained access to was similar.
One difference between Clinton's impeachment and Trump's potential impeachment by both Houses is that Clinton was still very popular among elected Democrats and voters. Trump has diminishing support from his own base voters and allegedly most Republicans on Capitol Hill hate Donald. Trump's nickname among he GOP is 'Stupid Forrest Gump'. I think many Republicans would consider it was a net gain for Trump to be impeached and no longer leading their party.
