The early reports (not verified yet) are saying that Trump instructed Flynn to back channel with Moscow to ask them to not retaliate with sanctions after President Obama put sanctions in place against Russia for their interference with the US elections. If this is proven to be true, it has nothing to do with President Obama, and could very well rise to obstruction.
