It's a damn shame. I am one for making jokes about shit, but I'll laugh at both sides. I'm not gonna pick and choose.

I agree. She definitely was the instigator. I'd say the black guy she signalled was pissed because she broke the code (once you go black you never go back) and so he made a statement about the fact she's now under satisfied with white boy next to her hahaha.

I can understand the work part but to date and marry? Wtf? For what sick purpose would someone do that. Every racist needs their ass beat and a reality check.

The token treatment. "You aren't like other black people".

The obvious points that everyone should understand are:

    1. He was twice her size and male. There's nothing to prove in assaulting someone full force under those circumstances, unless you're under threat of real injury or something. All she did is smack him lightly! A roundhouse punch in return? That's not right. Should he have done the same if a 90 y.o. woman smacked him? A toddler? No? Then you're beginning to see the point that he was wrong in hitting her like that.

    2. What is there to gain vs. to lose? What has he gained? Pride? More like nothing. What has he lost? He has a court case coming up. He'll likely have a record. He'll pay lawyers. He'll likely no long play football. He has internet infamy. etc. etc. And because violence of any kind can go wrong in many ways, he could've killed her with a blow like that, or have been killed by asshole cops or any number of bystanders. If you can't avoid the violence that's one thing. If you can just push her back, smack her back or even just walk away, that's what you should do.

Even if you're the baddest, deadliest guy in the world, who takes no stuff from no one, you should try to control your emotions in interpersonal stuff like that. Raw emotion has "done in" many a dude, especially when it comes to man/woman stuff like that.

Lotta guys sitting behind bars right now, around the world, throughout history (lol) because they couldn't avoid venting that raw emotion in the heat of the moment. And there'll be many more. Doesn't have to be you though.

Women can be the biggest "life trap" of all... lol. All kinds of cages just waiting... Keep that in mind & teach your sons!

I understand your point but a toddler? A toddler doesn't understand this kind of stuff. They aren't socially aware of anything. A 90 year old i can understand not hitting. They aren't just weaker, their bodies have been weakened by old age.

Exactly. Grown women aren't toddlers. Toddlers, by virtue of their age, aren't in control of their actions; it's the very same reason why we don't lock up two-year olds when they hit soneone. We don't have uninformed police officers in nursery schools just for that reason.

I learned not to hit/assault people way before I was old enough for college. There is absolutely no telling how someone is going to react to you putting your hands on them. Whether you're male or female, old or young, big or small the rules are the same: don't get violent with someone and they probably won't get violent with you in return.

    It really isn't that complicated.

I remember the middle school days when a girl had just as much of a chance of beating a guy in a fight as anyone else. Some of those girls were no joke, but they started loosing badly when they thought their edge would carry over to high school. Talk about a wake up call.

Don't forget Adopt. Racists will even adopt black kids.

I think this comes in different forms. You have what you mentioned. Many are not aware that they are racists. Then you have those who are aware they are and have some sort of motivation.

ColiBreh1 mentioned adoption, at one point LDS wouldn't allow black people in their churches and certainly wouldn't adopt black children, etc. A few years back something shifted and they decided it was ok to allow black people in, they even decided they could and should adopt black children. Suddenly there were all sorts of LDS couples/families looking to adopt black babies/children.

I used to be in adoption groups and there were some people who would say and do all sorts of shady things and when I called them on it they were quick to put up their family pic with their adopted black children and tell me how they could NOT be racist because they had however many black kids.

Hmm. Then the person can't truly be categorised as racist right? Converted racist that woke the fuck up.

Ah, the Mark of Cain. From what I can recall, back in the 70s they were in danger of losing their tax-exempt status because of their discrimination. Next thing you know, Mormons were a-OK with black people.

I don't think the shift happened even that far back though. Then there was a whole thing about how yes black people were allowed but only to an extent (not in Temple, etc)

The adoption part changed within the last 10 years. I don't know what they changed in their dogma to decide that was suddenly not only ok but encouraged. They have some odd views about all sorts of things though.

That's probably true. I actually forget where I read that part about LDS history but yeah, they do have some...unique beliefs. Lol.

Unless they're smaller than you and say mean things and slap you... then you can wail on em. Don't hold back. They deserve your full force. Don't start shit, won't be shit. Right Mr FlipFlop?

Yeah, they can. Those same people canstill pull someone over because of their skin color, deny them a job, give them a tougher sentence, etc.

This does not mean you respect the race as a whole. Again, the "I have a black friend/wife/kid" means nothing.

The fact that it's the token treatment is a red flag itself.
