Anybody watching the Emmys? When they were presenting "Lead Actress in a drama series", I was surprised to see that Keri Russell's character on "The Americans" is still thinking about Derek Luke 3 seasons later & it's affecting their marriage.

Here is my previous posts on the show when I watched it back in December:

I'm 5 episodes into Season 1 of FX's "The Americans".

Derek Luke is a recurring character in this season. He plays a former lover (& Spy) of the co-lead of the show Keri Russell. Both of them seem to still have feelings for other and makes Keri Russell's Husband/Co-Lead insecure AF.

Nope. Keri Russell & her Husband/Co-lead on the show are undercover KGB spies in the U.S. and their marriage has always been a cover so they can blend in as just another white family in the Suburbs.

In the first episode with Derek Luke's character Gregory (episode 3), he constantly reminds them that their marriage is just a cover and what Derek & Keri had was real and tells her he is still in love with her. Keri's character seems to be in denial & doesn't want to hear it. Derek seems to of course have the Husband feeling some type of way & jealous especially after Derek & Keri separately tell the Husband their backstory together.

Both. It shows Flashbacks when they were younger & they end up eventually having Sex in the present time during that scene with them on the couch.

Oh wow she is cute! I could never get around to watching this show faithfully, because it is always on when I'm either watching something else, busy with work or out with friends.

That actress is familiar to me. Are they regulars on the show?

They are both part of the ensemble cast. Her ex died after a violent encounter with a suspect in season 1. As to the doctor, his background is a bit murky at this point. Very little is known about him.
