Not the greatest shots. But here's a glimpse of Brisbane city today.

    Even better at night.

These shots of Brisbane are quite good. They remind me of the time atop the Empire State Building in NYC, at the same time I nearly lost my hat. I tried to take shots of the city but the light was fading into twilight. I was using a disposable camera. I tried to take shots of the World Trade Center, but I couldn't because of the light. Who would've guessed that it would be the last time I would ever see them again. When I had the film developed, they came out pretty good and the light was pretty good to show everything, including a group of people in Times Square trying to call out MTV's Carson Daley. MTV and the Nickelodeon studios are in the area.

Lol thanks. I'm glad to hear they turned out well. NYC is such a beautiful place to photograph i had so much fun taking a million shots. Especially of and from the Brooklyn bridge. Our buildings don't even come close to the height of yours. I couldn't even begin to imagine how the ppl of NY felt that day and for a long time after. It was overwhelming standing in that spot. Seemed so surreal that something like that could happen.

I got this shot of the Empire State Building the sky looks cool. Sorry it's sideways lol

I recall reading about when the Empire State Building was first built. Though it was the tallest building in the country at the time and made famous by the film King Kong. It was so tall the winds made the building sway from side to side. The girders of this building were plentiful enough to lay a path from NYC to Baltimore, Maryland. There were fears that the windsmight, if the gusts were strong enough, would knock the Empire State down. The architects who built it were confident that the Empire State could withstand the strongest windgusts.
In 1947-48, on a Saturday afternoon, a B-24 Liberator bomber taking off from Newark Airport in Newark, N.J., took off and flew into the foggy skies. Before the crew of the Liberator could react, they were on a collision course with the west side of the Empire State Building. The Liberator crashed and burst into flames, trapping many people on the observation deck. Many people, including a group of women in a typist pool were killed instantly. Many other people inside and outside from falling debris. When it was all over, there was a gaping hole that was quite large. But the Empire State Building withstood a greater impact than windgusts. I asked your guides about the disaster. I was shocked that none of them knew about it. I explained the story to a fellow tourist. He thought it was a myth. I had read two accounts of the disaster. It was proof-positive that either lifelong New Yorkers remember and don't want to revisit the event, or they forgot about it.
Or no one ever heard about it. But I knew it was true.

Holy shit that is shocking. I watched a documentary about the same thing but in Dubai. It's bound to happen with such monstrous buildings. The buildings in NYC are beautiful though it's impossible to take a bad shot. Funny you should mention Newark. I'm totally familiar with that place lol. Unbeknown to me my travel agent booked me in to Newrk airport instead of JFK. So it took 3 hours in peak hour traffic to get to 'Newyork' lol.

I had the same situation with my travel agent, as well. I wanted to get a flight from Ft. Lauderdale to Newark. Instead I got a flight to Kennedy in New York. I'm going to move back to New Jersey. I've been in Florida for far too long. It's screwed up over here.

The Burj Khalifa in Dubai is the tallest building in the world right now. And I would imagine that the windgusts are stronger than in New York City, or even Chicago. Tokyo, Japan has a new communications tower that is taller than the iconic Tokyo Tower. It's no surprise that architects, designers and engineers attempted to push the limits by tickling the Dragon's tail. But it's their vision to create something new and unique.

Lol. Hopeless travel agents lol that must have been annoying having to back track n all. I've never been to Florida but i do like the sound of it i picture toned women in bikinis on rollerblades lol and an abundance of palm trees lol. I'm probably totally off track though. What's the deal in Florida?

Yes that was the building i saw the documentary on was very interesting. Everyone wants the biggest something right.

The toned women in bikinis are in Miami South Beach. The place to see and be seen. I am not much of a beach man. I prefer lakes , rivers and ponds. My friends up north tell me that I have it made. Yeah, right. They believe the MTV hype. In reality, the girls of South Florida are just that; girls. Young and physically developed to look more mature. Jail bait.
There are older women on the beach and by the pool. But I don't think that they want to be bothered or are looking for chiseled younger men.

In addition to that, too damned many condominiums on the beaches. And who you are is not as important as what you have because what you have is who you are. Very materialistically superficial.

Got ya. I'd love to hit a gym over in Miami. Your gyms shit on ours. I swear Australia gets the scraps in all regards lol. Our equipment is so minimal. And i probably sound like i hate my own country lol.

I'm with you. There's only a certain element of beauty at a beach and it's mainly the bikini clad babes lol. The sun is my enemy so i can't do the beach unless i wanna be a lobster after 10 seconds.

You might be suprised. I think when you're an older woman you'd be chasing a young chiseled energetic man. Not wanting a viagra popping 3 minute lasting old man. I sure as hell would be. But then again even 70 year old African Americans look 40 lol it's a trip out.

We have a lot of fake women here too fake lips and oversized boobs but no ass implants. The more tattoos they have the cooler they think they are. Straight porn star wannabes. We are like the following country everything America does we copy. Duck lips are sexy apparently.

One thing i don't think you truly understand is how much the white girls here love African Americans. It's a magnet effect.
