At the debate that took place a few days before Christie himself dropped out, he called Rubio out for repeating the same talking point over and over again. The worst part is while Christie was calling him out Rubio repeated the same thing again while being called out for repeating himself. It was baffling. He exposed Rubio as a lightweight and once he was knocked off of his script and forced to think on his feet, he never recovered.
Whoa, l just watched the clip. How awkward. I think his point on Barack Obama was made the first time, even second, lol....but Christie is a typical New Joisian, aka cut the crap. Speaking of repeating themselves, Trump is king of that. It's cringing at times.
The least he could have done was word it differently. When you have as many debates there have been this season someone is eventually bound to slip up but this one was pretty massive. And Trump's fans (I can't call them supporters and keep a straight face) kind of expect that from him. His lack on intellect is what keeps them coming back.
That hurt him a lot. Also, I think when he turned into a rotten 3rd grader and spending all of his debate time (in 2 debates, no less) ripping on Trump and doing only that. I think he took the establishment line of ripping on Trump too far. He looked like a spoiled brat who couldn't get on the swings because the big kids were playing on them. It made him look bad.
It reminds me of the old saying about getting down in the mud and wrestling with a pig: you both get dirty but the pig likes it. Trump's been doing that shit for years and he is infinitely better at it than Rubio ever will be.
How so? She may not be perfect (no one is) but compared to Trump and his childlike behavior she's Queen Elizabeth.
A big night for Clinton, as she sweeps all five states https://www.yahoo.com/politics/a-big-night-for-clinton-as-she-wins-ohio-florida-013801150.html
Pretty much. I voted for Sanders here in Georgia but even before I cast that ballot I knew he didn't have a snowball's chance in hell of winning. At this point the other remaining states are just formalities.
Queen Elizabeth? I don't think so. Not even close. She's a pathological liar. She's beholden to Wall Street AND foreign interests. Not to mention the scandals that she's been directly involved in since like Arkansas. She has a history of very poor decision making. She will make a disastrous president. If Clinton gets the nomination over Sanders, I will be voting Republican in the election, unless Sanders goes as an Independent. #NeverHillary
So, you'll vote for Trump over Clinton even though all of his lies are proven and Clinton's are alleged? You actually think Trump is more honest than Clinton?
That's what I was thinking. Trump not only lies, but he lies about totally stupid stuff. He truly avoids making intelligent comments on any relevant issues, instead choosing to divert attention by insults and any other crazy remarks. I don't see where he's proven to be a good decision-maker, and I see him being an absolutely horrible. "I'm going to build a wall", and "Let's make America great again" along with his other self-serving remarks just doesn't sound like a good plan (or plan at all) to me.
I've noticed most of the people I encounter who dislike Hilary this much have no factual basis to feel this way. It's all based on unproven allegations from the 90's. People forget the witchhunt republicans embarked on against the Clintons. They made stuuf up out of thin air. They knew none of it would stick legally, but they figured if they beat the drum loud enough and long enough, they could poison the well of public opinion enough to make it difficult for Bill and Hillary. I'm no Hilary fan. Too much of a politician for me. But, as I've said before, I don't vote for who I like. I vote for who's going to best push my political agenda. I vote for policy. Not people. I don't support Bernie because I lke him. I support him because his politics align closest to mine. For me to jump ship and vote for his political, polar opposite says I'm voting, not on facts and issues, but on personality and feellings. Logic be damned. That's like saying I have somewhere I need to be. But, I'll only go there in a new luxury car. And, if I can't go in that luxury car, I'm not only going to where I needed to be, I'm going to drive an old base model Buick in the opposite direction of the place I needed to get to. It makes no sense.
Totally agree. I hate front wheel drive automatics but if that's all I had I would still drive it in the right direction. lol. The big picture is that after 4-8 years that person will be out of office. The only thing that really matters is what they do/did while in office. Policy>Politicians.
If I could rep you again, I would. If given a choice between getting most of what I want or none of what I want, there's no way I'm going to take nothing at all. Elections are all about settling for someone who has opinions closest to yours and who you can probably agree with the majority of the time. As much as it sucks, that's just the way it is. Like the old saying goes, "Never let the perfect be the enemy of the good."
Former presidential candidate and current Donald Trump cheerleader Dr. Ben Carson admitted to a conservative reporter what had been obvious from the start: He was persuaded to support Donald Trump because Trump promised him a role in his administration. In fact, Carson said, in an interview with NewsMax’s Steve Malzberg, that he had originally intended to back someone else but....... so what is the going rate for Surgeon General, HHS, FDA directorship.... the good doctor has lost integrity, ah the price of power
I get emails from Rubio after I had signed a petition. He represented my area. I didn't think he was all that sincere in all his emails. Just programmed. He took part in the government shut-down and I wasn't amused or surprised. Driving home this evening, I saw a sign that read ,"Florida Is Rubio County." Yeah, right. I knew he was not what he seemed when he beat Kendrick Meek for the Florida State Senate. Whomever wins this election had better sit down and think about how they got there before all the victory speeches and interviews. The winner has to completely level with all of us. Don't lie to us or dismiss us. When elected to office, be it municipal, county, state or federal. Ego should not have any part of the equation because you serve the people. All of the people. Whether they voted for you or not.
