It still comes down to why did this prick get out of his car and confront Martin?? Instigating the confrontation after you've been following this kid for several blocks means you can't use the SYG defense.

It would be like me walking on the other side of the street while making a call to 911 telling the operator I think those kids on the corner might rob me. Then I hang up the phone before crossing the street to the corner, walk up in the middle of those kids and ask them, 'what are you looking at?'

If a fight breaks out I don't have the right to blast someone because I 'felt threatened' despite my own actions putting myself at risk.

 

Exactly, that is not the purpose of that law; therefore it will not keep his dumb ass out of jail. I don't see a problem with the SYG law, dumb fucks like this guy is the problem. Proper use of that law means when someone like Zimmerman threatens you with a gun you don't have a duty to retreat, just blow his fuckin brains out and then call the COPS so they can arrange for someone to pick the fragments off the pavement.

any 'reasonable' jury would think that to begin with. once they realize the police advised him to back-off too, they'll really know that zimmerman was a ticking-time bomb

 

I wouldn't bet on it. Have you seen the support this animal has gotten from the public. Shit you had Paniro and Iggy acting like his wwbm defense team. People were constantly trying to paint Treyvon like some gang member that Zimmerman had to put down for the good of society. I thought Rodney King would have been a simple case and they had video.
