While it's not as overt, the sentiment (albeit covert) will intensify on many fronts as competition for scarce jobs and resources intensifies.

Let them make it to the higher ranks (Executive positions)....I didn't the story, but I guarantee these young blacks haven't worked near or next to the old rich good ole boys, or the sophisticated neo-nazi owners.

I admire them for their idea. But the reality will ultimately sink in, unless they actually learn to work the system in their favor.

sigh......many ppl try to revise history and think they are immune to things, and don't realize the truth till it hits them in the face.

i am well aware of the book "uncle tom's cabin", a story of a submissive black slave who dutifully submits to a subhuman existence based on submission to white supremacy. instead of fighting against he assimilated and tried to justify through a skewed version of christianity that justified slavery. the author by ignoring the existence of racism, ignores the existence of white supremacy, an uncle tom worthy action.
the only question left is how much his white taskmasters paid him for this dribble.

there is difference between white racism and black racism, in context and scope. you suggest reading, i say you should read the article, where it says in bold, that the man interviewed harvard graduates and a select few beneficiaries of certain opportunities. all that shows is given opportunity, ppl are successful. so the question is why aren't those opportunities given to all black ppl? and i don't think it has to do with a cultural of failure.

I actually disagree with you. Although there is always gonna be a certain amount of racism and race baiting. The fact of the matter is that our society has largely outgrown the majority of that stuff. Young people of today just dont care much about race as much as a persons substance. And once these very same young people get into power in the future your are gonna see even LESS institutionalized racism because they will have grown up in a largely colorblind society. The obama generation. :D

Dude the author, Harriet Beecher Stowe, was an abolitionist. She was very aware of racism and was against slavery. She wrote that book to depict how bad slavery was on the african americans of that time. In fact, the slave owners were pissed and wanted to write a book on how good it was for african americans to spite it. You missed her point.

The other issue is Uncle tom got beat to death for not wanting to tell where two escaped slaves went. The sterotypes are the bad parts of the book but people forget about the histroy about the book.

the author i was referring to, was the one in the op's link. but in regards to stowe, so what, if she was an abolotionist, she still depicted blacks as loyal simple minded buffoons.
tom was an idiot, brainwashed into believing it was his rightful place to be treated like an animal.
