No child of mine, male or female, will be allowed to wear make-up until they get to highschool.

With that said, if my son chooses to wear make-up, I'll just make sure he knows how to defend himself because small minds are going to pick on him. Other than that, I wouldn't bat an eye. It may be just a phase he'll grow out of. Let him be creative with his personality. No need to make it a bigger deal than it really is.

When I was a teen I wore make-up, long boots, leg warmers, all kinds if crazy shit. And we won't even talk about the hair. Too pretty. ...lol It was the eary to mid 80's and I thought I was Prince. My mother and uncles never cared. Couple of my aunts and cousins talked shit, but whatever.

So, for me it would be a case of like father like son. He'll grow out of it.

I'm surprised no one noticed the second caption yet.

This would never happen to me, if it did, I'd get it fixed fast.

Take him to a stylist to learn how to apply makeup and make it look like you either aren't wearing any, or aren't wearing much. I suppose if he started a Glam-Rock Band, then this would make sense.

After the initial shock and being mad as hell that he's using my makeup without asking me. Lol I'd say Bruce... i mean... Bailey. You're too damn handsome to be a drag queen!

But in all seriousness I'd be pretty sad. But i could never reject my old child. I gave life to him and would never turn my back on him no matter what.

oh Samson I adore you. I'm of the exact same mindset here. It's not often men can be big enough to see it this way though (generalizing, I know, but true). As long as my children grow up to be genuinely happy, respectful, responsible adults, I'm happy!

At that age, tell him to knock that shit off.

I'd wash my son's face every time he put on makeup and avoid at all costs having the 'are you gay' convo until he turned 15.

That kid looks too young to have makeup. Other than that... We'd have to have a talk about what's going on with him.

People should understand something; just because he dresses like that, doesn't mean he's gay. Also, I think any parent who has an issue with this has to ask themselves how much of their concern is for themselves. Are they worried about how they'll look to family and friends? If so, thats the parents' problem, not the child's. But of course, some parents will project that on to their child.

THis is true. But as a parent you still think you can raise a son or daughter to be straight, until you realize you can't.lol

I'm still not letting a 6 or 8 year old boy decide he wants to wear makeup and let him do it.

I wouldn't let a little girl of mine do the same thing either.

I'd probably ask "who did your makeup and cut your hair?"
