    I'm all for a salary cap, if revenue sharing is also eliminated. The big market teams share money with the small market teams.

    Most small market team owners keep some of the money...and the lil money they do invest in the team goes to scouting, not to making offers in free agency.

    Also, a salary cap for the MLB will have ways around a 'hard cap'. Luxury taxes and the like allow big market teams to go over the cap...they just pay a penalty. Small price to pay to stay in contention and assure yourself of 3.5M people running to the ballpark.

    Unfortunately, the Royals and Pirates will never be consistantly contenders like the Yankees, Red Sox, Dodgers, Cardinals, etc.

    It is a shame A-Rod has his platinum ring for his efforts. Lets hope Baseball catches him and other Yankees on the roid thing.
