Xmas in the Netherlands

    I read about the customs of Christmas in the Netherlands and they have a Santa named De Goede Sint who has black servants named Zwarte Piet. Even though I'm a bit offended by that custom I wished the Blacks from Suriname form another custom of a Black Santa with White female servants.

    I learn something every day. Still, I hope one day in Holland a Black Santa with tall and lovely Dutch females as his servants-and he won't be pimpin.

    LOL..I thought this was a print ad for some men's magazine like Stuff but after seeing what that girl has her hand on, I'm thinking maybe I'm wrong. :shock:

    i remember watching "Codename: The Cleaner" and hearing Cedric the Entertainer asking "Haven't you ever heard of dutch chocolate?" in some fake accent..

    wouldn't doubt it....

    that wasn't taken here...blackface is all but outlawed in the states :)

    I remember when a group of white kids were at a party, dressed in blackface for halloween or something....and they got into a lot of trouble over that..

    they were imitating the stereotypical "black thug with an inquinchable thirst for malt-liquor."

    it was on yahoo or msn...one of the internet news outlets...

    just curious sharen, what is in your arsenal? i know some about cameras, my gf is pretty into it.

    thus far in our house we only have some medium format stuff,
    mamiya rz67, two other mamiya's, hasselblad med format(dunno the info), nikon d200 a bunch of other gear, printers, etc etc.
