It didn't seem that long ago that I was 20, now I'm nearer 30 than I am 20, which means 40 is just around the corner...etc etc

Haha no. But i play basketball a lot as a hobby. I'd love to play for the Heat though along with the big boys. I once considered playing basketball professional and then returning to law when im retired. But im afraid of injuries. Besides, thats not my commitment in life. Yes, there's the money, fame and all of that but life isnt all about vanity always.

By the way, i feel like im among the least intelligent on this board. Since most of the adults are 25 and over and obviously more experienced, i feel left out when you guys discuss.

You don't come across as a thicko, so I wouldn't worry! And experience isn't just about age, it's about what life throws at you and how you deal with it.

thats silly, you just said you were a lawyer. i have tons of lawyers in my family and they are hardly unintelligent.

i dont play or even like bball, but you sounded like a bball player----soccer, tennis and golf are my favorite mainstream sports

Well, i am on my way to becoming one. I just completed my Bar Admission Course, waiting to be approved by the benchers and, IM A LAWYER. I've had a few offers for a job but i cannot sign the rolls until January 2006 and im right there. Right now, im doing vocational work with some solicitors in Florida because im into property law; thats where the money is. Even salaries for solicitors with no experience whatsoever begins at like $60,000. I love the money.
But thats not my ultimate motive. I want to be able to speak for people, to see to the satisfaction of fellow humans and be of trust to the property of people.

Me 2, have started 2 work as a lawyer not long ago. But i'm into corporate law providing in-house legal support 4 one russian company. I get my satisfaction enough but it's really desappointing the difference in month wages lawyers get in US and here in Russia. The highest salary u can get here as a lawyer if u get a job in these popular US-UK legal companies like Clifford Chance, Baker&McKenzie, White&Case, etc. But it's bloody hard coz there'r allways plenty of candidates seeking 4 any vacancy (even the temporary) no matter it's intern or paralegal.

By the way, me - 25 and just feeling good :D
