    I remember I used to hate the Navy wives who would be fat, ugly, and yes white who would sit outside all day long while their husbands worked and just do nothing but talk about folks and let their small children run around the neighborhood with no shoes or socks on...

    I didn't fit the stereotype because I was not only working, but I was also in the military, dated a black man, and a single parent.

    I bet they enjoyed having me around to entertain them
