Would you travel overseas to meet someone from the internet?

The waterfront is just something else. I take plenty of pictures every time I go there. That area is full of Canadians and Americans during the summer if you've noticed.
9 euros for a pint? That's how much a slice of pizza costs too, well, about 55 kroner which is about $10. It's insane.
I'm legally permitted to live and work there, it's just other circumstances stopping me at the moment. But, yeah, I feel lucky too.

Being in Norway, of course the town is lily-white, but they have a lot of soul. In the gym where I worked out I was one of maybe two blacks there, yet hip-hop blared through the speakers so loud and raunchy that I was a little embarrassed.

At that club Halu Toll I mentioned I was dancing in my reserved way when two local gals approached me and told me to loosen up and dance with more feeling--then proceeded to show me how. If you know anything about my namesake I definitely felt like I was him.

The people there are extremely nice and friendly to Americans.

10 yrs or so ago, you would never hear hiphop, at least not as much. It was mainly techno and dance music they played then. Nowadays, it has changed so much in music and fashion. Almost everywhere you go, you would hear hiphop. Whether it be the stores at the mall, auto dealerships, restaurants. Heck, I took my niece to the dentist last time I was there, they were playing Dr. Dre's chronic album.

Aside from that though, everything about that country fascinates me. From the way the government works (the way they run the country as a whole), all the way to municipalities and communities, all disciplined, concerted, structured, the amount of help and resources available to each citizen is unbelievable. Pretty much everything is done with 'how will this affect generations hundred years down the road' in mind. Norway has a large oil reserve but you may have noticed how high the price for a liter of gas is. I think it is listed as one of the most expensive places for gas with about $11/gallon. That's cause they're thinking about the future.

Yep, I assumed it was one of the two young receptionists that were playing it. The dentist was way too old for that. But yeah, I too thought it was kinda funny.
