I'm more likely to get married at the beach or some where overlooking the ocean. Classic, tasteful, simple, fun.
And you know what? I'll wear white. You know why? Because my first wedding dress was off-white, and rightly so because there was no church ceremony, no wedding, just the vows and two witnesses. So my second wedding will be the real one, God willing.
I'm not sure I'd want my future wife to propose to me. I'd much rather do it myself and make it special. HOWEVER: I've always been interested in women that feel men should act like men and ask them out, ask for their hand in marriage etc...basically men should be "traditional"...yet if the man says "woman, have my steak and taters ready when I get home, a nice bath and don't question anything I say"...the ladies are no longer comfortable wtih "traditonal" roles. Men shold be "traditonal" when it comes to something the woman doesn't want to do but he should be modern in situations where the lady doesn't mind jumping in the fray. I'm sort of playing Devil's Advocate and I'm wondering how people feel about that above statement.
You're absolutely right and very good point made. We women, want it both ways or for the man to be "traditional" on our terms. I don't know but I'd personally feel weird proposing to the man. I'm not saying its the man's "job" or role to propose either but a proposal coming from the woman may scare the shit out of the man even if he does want to get married. Then again, it all depends on the man and on the relationship the couple is in. If I would ever do it, I wouldn't say will you marry me or anything like that but rather tell him something along the lines of why don't we get married or we should get married etc etc get a conversation going and if he says yeah we should or something along those lines, I'd say lets do it. That would be as close to "proposing" as I'd get.
I like mine's well done...and I will clear the table and wash the dishes afterwards...maybe even a good foot rub (or other kind of rub)
See now? We're keeping things traditional, and everybody's happy. And baby I'd like a full body rub, too... oh let me shut up before DH gets here and b***h slaps me.
Been there, done that. Vegas is surprisingly fun to get married! It's hassle free. :smt023 Now, let's see. This has been/will be me: Traditional wedding? Check. Vegas wedding? Check. Next wedding? In a bikini on a beach in the Caribbean. ;-)
Hmmm....I think my breasts would fall out of the top. I'd have to have LOTS of tape to keep those babies in! But, I'll keep it in mind. Now, I just need to find a man....
I avoid the beach like the plague so it wouldn't be a good location for moi LOL I just want my wedding quick and painless - LOL no big production, just me and my man, a minister/judge whoever they have in Vegas and be done. And to up the tackiness factor I'd even go for an Elvis impersonator :smt080
