Much easier said than done in my experience. I am spiritual and not religious, and in relationships with those who are religious, it's quite hard to maintain an equilibrium. For example, it is alien for most christians when their partner doesn't believe Jesus to be the son of God or who don't believe in the concept of heaven and hell. It's very hard to find religious people who are open minded enough to debate such issues without being offended.
