Again, people can't stand the truth.

 

• Because she is white.
  
• Because she gives you the opportunity to live out long-held fantasies about your favorite meth-addicted porn star.
  
• Because you think most, if not all, black women are acidic bitches.
  
• Because you want to "impress" your black male friends.

 

Why should it be assumed that exploring negativity objectively means that someone wants to be miserable? Isn't it possible that by doing so one is better prepared to deal with it when it is met in reality? If something is considered dichotic, such as 'good' and 'bad,' then how does one learn anything by only seeing one side? I think that results in a lack of perspective.

 

I dumped a girl once who admitted that she approached me because she thought I looked like 50 cent (that's 30p in Britain lol).

I thought the purpose of the thread was obvious, which is interesting considering what I sometimes fail to understand in communication. Fortunately, I haven't had any negative feedback delivered to me about my choices. However, I've heard the phrase "because a black woman wouldn't put up with your shit," uttered. I can't think of where precisely.

 

I made no such assumption, and in fact that wasn't what I was thinking. Read the OPs posts, and consider the threads that the OP has created, and draw your own conclusion. Seems rather obvious to me.

As for lack of perspective, I think it's fine to consider the good and the bad in order to consider one's self well informed. However this site is full of every possible, conceivable negative and stereotype, so I don't see the point in creating another thread to list them all again, aside from the obvious. If you enjoy that sort of thing, have at it.

 

Dichotomous situations (good vs bad, for example, as you stated) only exist because we as humans feel the need to rationalize and put things in neat, orderly boxes with clear lines.

In reality, most things are far from dichotomous and have so many gray areas it'd be more like 20 boxes instead of 2.

People don't need to see "The other side" they need to realize that there are way more facets to almost everything and explore that. It doesn't necessarily mean the "bad" side must be explored, though knowing about things is important, so I can agree with that part. But in order to know one must understand that things are -not- simply black and white.

 

That's what this board is all about, right there. See it daily.

Well then apparently you and I get vastly different impressions from this forum. Regardless, that is most certainly not 'what this board is all about'.

For the most part I'm surprised that so much was read out of it. The thread was mostly a reaction to a conversation between me and another friend about how 'reasons' or 'explanations' pop up as if person on person chemistry weren't a factor and when people assume that you need a reason to be in a IR relationship or that there's some kind of explanation for why it happens in the first place very crazy logic pops up and we were laughing at the particularly goofy ones that we've heard. Most of mine came from either Alabama or uncles that try to explain black history each time we meet. So then I posted here to see if anyone else has heard anything funnier.

 

Nah...any white woman even in the same zip with a black man gets posted on this site with "Is he hittin' it?!" "Is she down with black men?!!" etc...etc...

That, combined with the repeated, ad naseum, explanation that the only reason white women won't/haven't dated black men is because they've never been "exposed" to them, or societal pressure, their family is racist, etc..

And lastly, the consistently repetitive - big black dick commentary that assures white women that it is the medicine to make them "cross over"

 

Just because you hear comments like that from some people, doesn't mean all people think that way, or that all people agree with those sentiments. It certainly doesn't mean that all this forum is about is sex. Additionally, many of the comments you highlighted are typically brought up by the people who come here with an alternate agenda, they certainly aren't representative of the majority of regular posters who have been members for some time.
