I hesitate to prepare a list like this because one could say that it enforces certain sexist stereotypes about females and their abilities. But then i saw a part of Angel eyes and I was like cool yeah i can make a list. May top nominees are Jenifer Lopez-the only thing she was good in was Selena. After that it has been movies where she has been less than stellar. OUT of Sight was good because they had 4 other good actors in it with characters that were good. OK U turn was an okay movie but look at the structure of the movie and cast that was in it. Halle Berry- she confuses the hell out of me. She was never Known for acting chops. She has been good in a number of things, Queen, Introducing Dorothy Dandridge, Monsters Ball- but its like hit or miss with her. She does one good movie and three or four bad ones. Kirsten Dunst- i have yet to see her in anything that was like whoa. She is a mediocre actress that got lucky with Bring It ON and Spider Man. Any female singer in anything recently. Any actress that's made an album for the teeny bopper set yet try to be "real" with their watered down version of Avril what's her name Punk lite style. They are bad but there are worst offenders out there, these are just the that comes mind.
I don't personally think Cameron Diaz is much of an actress I do think Halle is an good actress though.. I can't agree with you on that one. She's just made a few bad choices in roles she has picked.
To me Halle aint the worst actress by what she do she is the worst actress because she has always said she want to embrace her blackside but as you can see as far as onscreen love interest go it's a no. I already told ya'll she dropped out of a role where she was suppose to have a love interest that was suppose to be with denzel washington but took that bruce willis flick over that. I don't have a problem with her being in IR flicks but don't sit there and say you want to embrace your blackside and then go turn down a black movie she doesn't make any sense.
Oh yeah, Jennifer Anniston. Cameron Diaz is a lot more adventurous with her choices-being John Malkovich, something about Mary- but yeah she has perfected that wide eyed girl next door just one of the girls persona. Looking at her performance closely she could improve. Vida Guerra she can model but she can't act.
Lindsay Lohan-Herbie Fully Loaded, Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen, Just my Luck, everything she is awful! Hilary Duff-Raise your Voice, that one with Heather Locklear Cameron Diaz- Is beautiful not so talented Mariah Carey-Glitter :shock: Gywneth Paltrow- She was good in Shakespeare in Love but that was 7 or 8 years ago. Olsen Twins-Good child stars but now just terrible! Yeah most singers cannot act and most actors cannot sing. I do like Jennifer Lopez though.
definitely agree with boll onin on halle berry and jennifer lopez, how do they keep getting work? By far and away Halle berry is the most overrated actress in Hollywood
she's just had some bad roles for the big money.. Look at her parts in Monsters Ball, or Raising Isaiah or Jungle Fever. Halle can act.. JLo.. well.. she might have potential but she has gone for the more popular roles because they got her in the limelight.. I've liked some of her movies but they weren't difficult roles or in depth movies
I think Halle is one of the most beautiful women I have ever seen but the most boring actress. Except for And Their Eyes Were Watching God. Keanu Reeves- He's a chick right? :lol: I think Qsassy that you are partly right about Halle and Jlo but also their is a level at which their talent would compensate. It just doesn't. look at Jeanine Garafolo. The woman's got skills. As comedian she is good and an actress she worked on it till she is good. She made a name for herself being the good part in an otherwise crappy movie. Also Angella Basset. I mean that scifi movie she was in what was it called was putrid but her and David spade made the best of it and their performances in it are good. The movie sucked but they were good. Same with Angelina Jolie, thandie Newton. They are good when the movies are absolutely unsalvagable messes. Now Gwenyth Paltrow and Nicole Kidman are good only in good roles. They can't save a movie if every nuisance of the character isn't handed to them. They seemed to lack that ability to go beyond what they are given to find something else in a character.
We can all face it.. some roles are not going to challenge and actress.. (or actor).. Sure some might sell out for more money.. but how do we judge them.. if they don't' take the high profile cheesy roles, how long does their career last.. ? they have to think long term.. You have to REALLY make it .. to get to where you only pick the ones that you win an Oscar for..
There is something about J-Lo that makes people want to practically throw money at her, because having her name alone on a product will bring in the big bucks to sell anything. She even has a clothing line out now that makes some of the ugliest little jackets I've seen in 2006, and they are retail-priced at $150 a piece. Actresses I lov :smt007 for either acting/looks Scarlett Johansson - doesn't matter what movie she is in I'll watch cause she is both EXTREMELY sexy/beautiful and an above average actress.. Natalie Portman - Very good actress and just getting better also really beautiful/cute as well. Same with scarlett any movie their in I'll atleast rent. Milla Jovovich - GREAT ass actress, has done a WIDE variety of films and the crazy part the woman is hypnotically beautiful too. I could look at her face all damn day :smt007
