Of course you shouldn't, because if you check out the stats, Griese and Orton have fumbled just as much throughout their careers as Bears. What is the common denominator? Olin Kruetz.

Devin Hester is just getting started. How many touchdowns would he have had if Kyle Orton could actually hit him in stride? Oh, the possibilities.

What better field positions would the Bears have started at, had he not run backwards and gotten tackled with his punt returns? Oh, the possibilities.

You make some very good points, but you should be very concerned about the Bears offense. The fact that this trade was even made speaks volumes on how bad the Bears offense has been.

Who in the name of Sid Luckman is Jay Cutler gonna throw the ball to?

    Where are his weapons?

LMAO....you have a very good point Bookworm. I absolutely cannot argue with that. He definitely needs to start running forward, and not backward on the kick returns.

I'm just happy he will no longer have this guy throwing incompletions to him all the time. :smt003

Not really concerned Tony. People who aren't familiar with the Bears see things in a whole different light than the actual Bears fans themselves. We're used to having a poor offense, so it's nothing new to us. The thing is, the Bears are a running team, that thrives on the play action pass. In 2006, when we were one of the highest scoring teams in football, we ran the football, and when the opportunity presented itself, we threw it deep. Bernard Berrian was an unknown player before that year. He made a name for himself by going deep, and catching the numerous bombs that Rex would throw up there. Cutler will come in and do the same thing, only this time, swap out Bernard Berrian with Devin Hester. Devin is not a perfect route runner, but there's no corner in the league that can stop him from going deep. Kyle Orton just could not hit him in stride last year. That's why we axed him. The offense will be fine as long as we stick to what we always do, and that's run Matt Forte, and hit on the deep pass.

Passes being thrown by this guy::smt004
