We lost and as I stated in the thread above this one, it was poor penalty play that killed us. Those kicks were highschool level penalty kicks not the level that should be for a world cup final from the US.
It was a nail biter and the US Women's team did their damnest. I hope the fans give them a wonderful homecomming for a job well done when they return to the States.
Yeah, great game to both teams. I think the Americans were starting to lose endurance and consistency at the very end of the game. The girl that was named "Abby" who played for the United States seemed to be the most dominant player there, much better than everyone else (in both teams) on the field, but in terms of team dynamics, the Japanese were better than the Americans.
