I don't have a preference. I have dated & married the full spectrum of black men. For me, it has more to do with personality and confidence than whether your light or dark skinned.

Your international friends are speaking strictly from an economic and class based view but when it comes to what your average person labels what makes a man a man, lightskin dudes come up short.

There was a thread on here not to long ago about Common vs Drake, so many people basically called Drake a bitch and don't even know the guy.

yeah there is a lot of colorism in the black community.....light skinned versus dark skinned.

I wouldnt doubt ww having a preference over one versus the other.

Pure love & hate cannot coexist.

This isn't about "color".... IMO, it's about conscience decisions of individuals who know what they want, like, and desire for whatever reason... No justification necessary... It is what it is....

The divide is really about closing the gap.....

It's love, wherever you find it and however you choose to define it... But it always will take two...

Preference is what it is...

But to partake if offered, options still rest with the individuals involved and it's none of anybody's business unless anybody is paying the rent and the rest of bills...

You also have to keep in mind that there are millions more dark men than light skinned men. She may love they dark skin, and she may also be settling for a dark skinned man because light skinned men are few and far between.

Exactly Tam, I have seen White women with men of a host of different types. White/Black/Asian/Indian/Hispanic/Native American/Middle Eastern, etc.

The first thing some need to realize is we only need one person in our life as far as a committed relationship.

What everyone else does outside of that is of no consequence to me. As long as I have my woman in my life, it is what it is.

No offense, Galiant, but you seem to have an unhealthy fixation on light vs dark skin, & it's disturbing. IMO you're over thinking/over analyzing the whole thing. It's like you're determined to make it your excuse for not attracting the women you want, but there are just as many women who find light skinned men attractive as there are women who like dark skinned men IMO. My own son isn't dark, but young women (WW included) are all over him.

I can understand it possibly being a sore subject for you if you've experienced negativity over your skin, but dark skinned men deal with a lot of negativity themselves. It's not some kind of competition, yet that's what you seem to want it to be. It comes across like the one with the problem with your light skin is you. You sound extremely insecure about yourself, & lack of confidence isn't appealing to anyone.

You should love yourself for who you are. Every person is unique & special in their own way, & it would benefit you to appreciate that about yourself.

It does apply to anyone who does it, but often around here folks (both women & men) who are just venting or speaking their minds or sharing things about themselves get accused of whining or playing the victim when that's not the case at all.

I think you would not have posted if I had not used the word "settled" which I did not mean to use in a negative way. In the other case. I have always said that older woman are attracted to me.
I am not ashamed of my skin tone. Not at all. I am accepted by both races. I recently asked how many mixed people were on this site and have got more attention from people than ever before. From the answers I got it was two. It seems, at least on this site most woman want dark skinned black men compared to light skin. I love my skin color as it changes with the seasons, and have posted comments about other women and countries as well as others who say that women are looking for light skinned black men. I am actually reconsidering this site as I can see it has gone downhill and continues to do so. There is a lot of negativity right of the bat from men and women. I have been called a troll. Are you serious? Have you guys read my posts? You may not agree with them, but I am no troll. From your picture you are an attractive ww. People join these sites to learn, help , and hook up. I am one of the few light bm here as far as I can tell, so I have a different experience. With you, you are white and with black men here because they love ww. Most women here prefer dark skinned black men, which I am not. It looks more like I am doing investigating reporting which I feel is a waste of time here. Since you have, I assume you only want to join a forum where bm are attracted ww. With me, I can't tell, I do not post improper pictures of myself or start fights. I am trying to search the net for a forum that would fit me and have not found one I like. Skin color comes up so often in these forums I am surprised that your surprised it is mention. I am not making excuses, but found out that most women on this site I think prefer dark men, compared to light.

I have no skin obsession, I only enjoy learning about the women here. I have had some arguments here, but could care less about other men's skin color. There are a lot more dark skinned black men that light skinned, so naturally they are going to date more ww women than a light skinned man. I am confident and love my skin tone. I get the best of both worlds, white and black. But this site seems to be going downhill. Most compliments I get pertain to women who are not on this site. i get compliments about my skin, hair and lips. It sounds odd that a light skinned bm would have problems with his skin tone as mixed race children are generally accepted by whites and black. Judging from what the women here say" I want those lips, I want to see you naked" and other things about dark skinned black men what am I supposed to think? It never is a competition I assure you. I am not insecure, only realizing more that this site may not be for light skinned bm, but ww who like dark skinned black men. I love myself very much. Seriously, who gets the most comments and most attention? They are men and dark as night. I am not sure if you are concerned about me or are simply trying to make a point as long with the other in recent weeks, but this site favors ark skinned men.

Can you honestly disagree with what I have said? The woman here are so horny they the ask you to reply..with your shirt off. The majority are bm. I am simply at a loss. I know that being like skinned offers more privileges that being dark. I feel ignored, not insecure. There is a huge difference.

If you think I am wrong, I would love to discuss it with you. If you were me, what would you do?
