Why is it this way?

A young black man in his teens he was the nerdy guy in class, studied hard made some friends, got up the courage to ask out some girls mainly black and was rejected and laughed at by all of them. Eventually found himself a gf(white). Nobody has a problem with it not his friends or family
not even the black girls that rejected him.

Now around the age of 27, amazing career, comes from a nice family, good morals, upstanding, all and all a great guy. He attends his high school reunion and the same girls that rejected him 10 years earlier are now very interested in getting to know him. He reveals that he is engaged and shows them a picture of his gorgeous fiancee who happens to be white, blond hair, blue eyes. All of a sudden the same girls are hostile towards him for being engaged to such a girl.

My question is why are they so mad, he is basically the same guy that they all rejected all those years ago?

Because everybody knows that you're supposed to put your life on hold waiting for black women to get over their "bad boy" phase and waste your education and earning power on a chick who's now over 30, probably overweight, with kids by another man. Woohoo, gotta love it.

My question is why are you showing a picture of your fiancee. Why didn't she accompany you to the reunion? If it was me, I'd be parading her around like a prize race horse at the Kentucky Derby.

well.. I am not sure why they didn't get on you (or the guy you talk about) when dating a WW in school, if they did when they were older. I'm surprised they didn't then too..

as far as finally noticing and appreciating by the reunion..

Well think about it.. you (or the guy you talk about) made something of yourself (or himself).. now they realize what they lost..

You know when I went to my last reunion, I had guys pointing at me and overheard them saying "WHO IS SHE??".. they didn't even know who I was.. (I was kind of quiet in high school).. but now they were checking me out..

but they didn't even know I existed in high school..

too bad for them though that I no longer date white men.. they missed their chance..

    Hey glt1980,
Karmacoma just answered your question bro :D :

    Good one Karma, :smt043
They should post this statement on every magazine that talks about the shortage of good black men or other bullshit dating polls that blame the BW dating drought on black men........ :smt043

    Anywho,
In my case, I don't like bringing up the past nor do I have any interest in dating black women (from the past or present), so it wouldn't be good sport to attend my high school reunion. It wouldn't be any fun......

    glt1980,
You have gotten the best revenge against those women by doing and living well, and by having a leading lady that looks better than those women EVER will. That is called poetic justice my friend. 8)

No, that's not me. I just found that photo on the Internet and posted it. I was looking for some interracial class reunion pics to post, but that was the only thing close to it that I could find.

Jeff Kroll, one of the founders of eBay said the same things happened to him. He was on Primetime (I think) or one of those type shows and recounted his experience when he went to a reunion and all the girls who rejected him were handing out phone numbers. Nerd, dweeb and geek are all terms coined by whites.

I'm quite sure this woman would not have even looked at this man if he was a regular joe.

BEAUTIFUL TOGA GIRL AN UGLY INGRATE
    By STEVE DUNLEAVY

August 17, 2006 -- DENNIS KOZLOWSKI lost his fortune, lost his freedom and, for some inexplicable reason, is now losing his "loving" wife.

Dennis, the former hot-shot CEO of Tyco, is doing 81/3 to 25 years in jail after a jury, full of Enron rage, convicted him of fraud.

At the sentencing, his gorgeous, leggy and extremely athletic wife, Karen, said, "He is by nature a very generous man."

That's a little like saying Everest is tall.

Karen, a former waitress who first met Dennis in Florida, would certainly know about his generosity.

Like a house for skiing in New Hampshire, a stunning yacht that cruised the oceans blue, a staggering mansion in Boca Raton, a sumptuous apartment in Manhattan and enough jewelry to challenge Mr. T to lift his arms on command.

And then there was that little birthday party for Karen that took place in Sardinia.

The $2 billion bash came complete with extras dressed in togas and guests were, ahem, entertained by an ice sculpture of Michelangelo's David urinating vodka.

"Dennis never did anything for himself," a close friend of his told me during the trial. "Apart from a few corny jokes, he never indulged in anything for himself - it was all for Karen."

    Yep, Denny Boy was generous.

I was stunned when I heard the news of Karen's divorce demand because I don't know any other gorgeous lady that was more indulged by any other man than the beautiful, blond Karen.

Now, she wants cabbage from a man doing large time for getting hold of millions which he mostly spent on her.

Karen was, and is, Grace Kelly-like ice-cool gorgeous.

Dennis looks like a Polish linebacker from Notre Dame and doesn't have a hair on his head.

But, of course, it wouldn't be the first time a one-time waitress fell in love with a billionaire because she was fascinated with his intellect.

    Talk about ungrateful.

I agree 100% Lex and it just goes to show that the never-ending saga of the nerdy, geeky, man being rejected by women (until he becomes successful) flows across to ALL ethnic groups and ALL generations. So unless you and the woman both are equally yolked in specific areas (especially financially), get a pre-nup or don't marry her.

 I'll be honest, I have no remorse for this fool because he should have known better, in so many ways. So on that note, another one bites the dust......

I have a question, it's not so much along the lines of IR dating but dating in general. Don't you all think that your taste in mates simply changes and matures as oneself matures? When I was younger I was definitely more into the slapstick kinda guy, it was more important to me that he was fun and would party with me and my friends. I wasn't worried about his intellect or ambition as much as I am today, today the picture is completely flipped. So I wonder, is it truly that back then it was simply that you guys didn't fit a typical stereotype or is it simply an age thing?

I think so Chi.. I know my tastes have changed over time. Some from my maturing, but also some from learning from experiences that maybe what I might have been seeking, wasn't the ones/or type I should have been seeking

I'm an aspiring billionaire, and I can say unequivocally that quality women could care less. If you're a quality man, then that's all that matters. Some of it is based on maturity and some on experience as QSsassy has stated. We've spoken about materialism in past threads. If your woman is a little materialistic, and you have the means to acquire those things, then they shouldn't be used as a way to leverage yourself into love. That's ridiculous to try and go all out for a woman with those things. Give her intangibles like love, devotion, loyalty, trust, romance, intimacy, creative and enjoyable experiences. Now, one thing I would do is use my wealth to create some more memorable experiences than would otherwise be possible. For example, a fantasy vacation getaway, to some remote location with elegant scenery and dining and all that fun stuff or maybe something else.

If I understand that story correctly, the guy needs some serious counseling to get his mind right. But to the point of the thread, this is the reason I'm looking for my romance right now. Sometimes you can find it when you look for it, sometimes you have to wait for it to come to you, I know. But in cases like his, maybe he needs to look a little deeper before making that leap with someone. He was probably chasing the wrong women before becoming successful. It is sad, though, that he didn't get any love until he became a success.

Once again, it's a smoke screen to diminish responsibility. "Oh, all races of women do that." We weren't talking about all races, we were talking about black women in particular. I know for a fact that many white women hook up with guys during their broke, struggling days and stand by them and sacrifice until payday. In such cases they deserve whatever they get in a divorce. There's a joke that a lot of WW don't go to college to get degrees but to find husbands.

Most sistas of course don't appear until your struggle is over, then come around like they got something coming, and add insult to injury 'cause they have kids by their thug babydaddy that they expect you to accept as a "package deal." The days of O.J.'s first, black wife being there at the beginning are long past.

To be fair an increasing number of WW are on that same tip, too, but they're not on the socio-economic level I associate with 8)

Same here. But I think it's pretty normal to learn with the "trail and error" method. When you are young, you are not going to listen to well meant warnings better not to date this or that guy...well, at least I wasn't ....

I think the problems start when people are not careful to protect themselves from unpleasant consequences (pregnancies, babydaddy drama/babymoma drama, debt, diseases, signing contracts they can't easily cancel anymore, etc.) and then expect someone else to feel responsible for their problems, to support them or to fix their lives for them .

I always made sure that I was able to leave a no-good relationship as carefree as I stumbled into it, and I would only date a man who has done the same.

I see a contradiction that doesn't ever seem to get addressed ...

Case: BW don't like poor BM vs. BW like thugs until they get older

    Thugs are poor

And an insult that doesn't ever seem to get addressed

Case: BM settle for WW, because the BW they pursued rejected them

    That's an insult

Who in their right mind wants to be the last resort?

Why should black GIRLS be held to standards of maturity in high school that the rest of us are not. High school students traditionally hold superficial qualities in higher regard than when adults. Black GIRLS are not Black WOMEN....they think like high school GIRLS. White women do the same. Ask Bill Gates.

So you mean that black chicks mature when they become women and appreciate honesty, intelligence and integrity and dislike rebellious men. WOW!

Yeah but you know people gotta whine about it and turn it into a tragedy. Hell most women are like that regardless of race. I remember hearing from a guy on another board complaining about an Italian women stealing money from him,but yet I never seen him condemn all Italian women, but if she was black lord knows we would never hear the end of it. Date who you like people.
