Why is it such a turn off when white girls "act black"?

Pretty much summed it up. Its the phoniness that is unbecoming. If someone is who they are then that can be respected from the jump, but if they are putting on an act then it looks ridiculous.

 

Because it can look absolutely silly and foolish when someone makes a circus monkey out of themselves because they think that is how others act.

How many white girls you know live in the hood. I'm talking straight up project housing, inner city schools, seen in the bodega and Chinese restaurants. How many playa.

I saw that whack shit in college too often it got on my last nerve, a white girl from small ass upstate New York towns that would approach me and right from the jump think she had to speak in faux ebonics or talk to me about hip-hop right off the bat, when they wouldn't approach a white dude that way.

Don't get me wrong I don't mind when a white girl is into that, but some get carried away and take it to a level of silliness.

As a brotha that deals with white women, I carry myself like a well-rounded, responsible and respectful man. I'll talk about hip-hop, jazz, chillout, RnB, etc and a whole lot more when I come to the table, so she better be deep as well when dealing with me. I don't do shallowness.

 

What percentage of black people live in project housing and go to inner city schools?
Tons of black people get what they know about the hood from music and TV just as whites do.

A black guy from the suburbs can walk around rapping N.W.A lyrics and it's cool because he's black.
However if his white neighbors do the same thing people say they're "acting black"?
Not to mention if the white guy actually was from the projects people would still call him a wigger.



If you ask me there are more black people "acting black" then there are white people doing it.





Also I agree with the shallowness from girls thing. I remember one day in college I was merely listening to Outkast's Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik album and the girl said "oh you listen to that crazy stuff".
The same girl then preceded to put on her Gucci Mane album:smt120

I don't ask too much out of girls. I don't expect the average person on the street to know what I'm talking about when I say "Bitches Brew" is my favorite jazz album. Nor do I expect the average person my age to know what "Pet Sounds" by the Beach Boys is but come on, I do have my limits....

 

There is definite truth in what you are saying in that some suburban blacks can be the same way, but because they are black it doesn't seem as outlandish even though they may have never stepped foot in the real hood as well.

ROFL about Gucci Mane, that is one that gets me. Its like all them chicks listen to Gucci Mane. Personally I can't stand the mofo.

In the end I think its all what is attractive to the individual person certainly.

For me personally I seek out white women that are well rounded, its much more stimulating. Some of the posers think they are living in a Soulja Boy video when talking to a brotha.

I think as some white women mature they grow out of that mindset of course.

 

I think its dumb iam like this I know iam a black dude but u don't have to act hood around me. Lol. I blame it on mtv2 and. Hip hop lol both are on a down slide [HDYT][/HDYT]

 

I have only dated 3 white females in my lifetime most of which was in my teens and only one of them was like that but I didn't mind at the time because I went to a school with a lot of people from housing projects so most of the whites that I knew then that acted like that, to them they weren't acting and most if not all blacks accepted them as being that way. Hell some of them would even attempt to whoop yo ass if called them white but that was then, now I am alot older, a little more traveled and a bit wiser and that for me is now a turn off along with white women that smoke(or any woman that smokes for that matter). I have a friend that has dated a slew of white women and it seems almost effortless for him to connect with them at different places and venues almost to the point where you would swear he knew them beforehand even though they just met and even after they may date and break up he is still able maintain a very admirable friendship with them, so I asked him whats his secret and he said stay away from the ones that act "black" even if its a little bit! And when he gave his explanation as to why I immediately thought of something pertaining this that I had heard and read about awhile back, now some black women may get mad about me saying this but having been around enough of them in my lifetime I think this is true on some level and thats the fact that some of them suffer from A.B.W.S., Angry Black Woman Syndrome some of you may have heard of it but I won't go all into that here, thats another thread for another time but anyway it seems the white women that do "act" this way seem to be subject to this same syndrome as well, to the point to where sometimes you can't even tell that you are not dating a black woman due to all the nagging and bickering and he was basically saying that this is how he has managed to create long lasting friendships with some of these women because these women were more open-minded about a myriad of different things which allowed him to be himself without constantly having to apologize for it which for me sounded very refreshing!!!

Now please don't get me wrong, I am not saying this all BW but it is indeed some and this has just been my experience on the matter. Please feel free to have your own opinion!

I smoke. Now what? Not sure how that is relevant to the topic at hand. It's a taste, yes sure, and I would like to find a guy who doesn't smoke because I really really want to give up the habit especially if and when I become pregnant...and don't want another person around who has the same habit as me. He can smoke all of the weed he wants however, IF he goes to work and gives good loving at home ;-}. I don't touch the stuff. Some very educated and quality people in general do have that nasty habit, and not everybody is happy about it. It's a terrible addiction.

Most of the black guys I have dated do not smoke, no matter where they came from. I grew up with a Christian background and just landed on a bad habit in a moment of weakness, but it doesn't mean that you should necessarily make a run-on sentence with "whoop-yo-ass" white girls, traveling, or wisdom. Incidentally, I smoke like a movie star (Katherine Hepburn maybe?), for what it's worth, which is not a whole lot.

Not to divert the subject - it just struck a nerve.

 

sorry didn't mean to strike a nerve I just don't like it when people smoke period especially women because I think it takes away from your natural beauty and also because I am teeth person, teeth are one the first things I notice on women and there are alot of people in this country runnin around with messed up grillz due to smoking and thats a definite turn off for me and I won't even get started on coffee but thats just me!!!

 

smoking and coffee don't mess up your teeth by itself. Bad oral hygiene and/or poor teeth genetics does.

If your anal about your teeth hygiene and have genetics for good teeth, you'll be fine.
If you don't like smoking and coffee for other reasons thats fine, but it does not mess up the teeth on its own. Keeping teeth nice and white is easy these days. It helps if you go to the dentist 2ce per year - and have dental insurance of course.
I will never give up my coffee and I have white teeth w like 4 small cavities I got like 20 years ago -and I'm in my 40s.
