Why is hair such an issue?

On Blackplanet.com there is a group named THE BEAUTY OF DREADS.
The ignorant comments I ve seen being posted there concerning who should be allowed to wear dreads and who not made me so sick I didnt log on that site for a week.Lol
Some black women straighten their hair.Some white women get braids?dreads.So what?? We should just wear our hair the way we like it best.
Doesnt matter what anyone else thinks.Its not THEIR hair
