Maybe I'm being sensitive, but I rarely hear a news anchor or commentator call BHO, 'President Obama'. I know when the POTUS leaves office, when tend to call them by their first and last name, but DAMN@!!, nobody hardly ever calls him 'President'!!! Speak on it....!:smt011
I think ymra just put an end to this discussion. We haven't used that form in quite a while. Maybe LBJ was the last president to have this done to him.
Yall niccas prolly don't even watch enough broadcast news to even have an opinion!!lol. News commentators made a point to call GWB President so he wouldn't be confused with his father, especially during his first term. NO ONE hardly ever calls BHO, 'President'. Carry on.:smt021 My luck, the conservative negroes on WWBM would jump up to answer this question first:smt038!!!
I think its a matter of this... ..I bought my first red car and before that I simply never gave a thought to how many red cars there are on the road. That is until I got on, and damn you know how many red cars that are. No one gave a shit about Bush so when they call his slack jaw yokel ass BUSH no one said a word. Obama, with regards to whether calling him POTUS or not is not received any thing that Bush didn't revived. And keep in mind Bush was fucking murdered in the Press. They called the man stupid, and YES, likened him a monkey, and YES, likened to him as Hitler, called his ass Slow, Stupid, and Idiot.....in fact he got much worse than what Obama is getting. The above is from a New your times editorial, and is just an example of how the President is normally referred. The first article was written in 2009, the second on in 2007...and even BILL Clinton was not always referred to and PRESIDENT... I don't know about conservative negroes or not, but what I do know is that if you are going to spit some shit, make sure you are right, and if not, make sure you a big boy enough to be called on it without crying about it.
On television. Commentators and reporters on TV. You're talking about JOURNALISTS who write ARTICLES. There's a standard journalistic format used when referring to U.S. Presidents in print, and there's a different honorific used by miked reporters and TV commentators in front of the camera. And Bush brought half the shit that came his way in the media on himself. He was like Sarah Palin trying to rationalize the use of the word 'refudiate', like she deliberately coined a new term. Stupid is as stupid does.
