Why do people hate soccer moms so much?

Wow. I had no idea. I'm a soccer mom who minds my own business and strongly monitors what my little ones see and hear via the media. All of my soccer mom friends do the same, so who are these soccer moms "they" are talking about?!

 

Bad Name For All

Because "Soccer Moms" are so stereotyped, a some overbearing/annoying for lack of a better term give the whole a tarnished view in some peoples minds.

I stay 35 mins outside of Chicago in a west suburb, one the richest cities in the US, I have never seen so many mini vans in my life. I personally have seen many "Soccer Mom's" around here are so self involved, worried about their own family, or Soccer Mom alliances that they, cause many accidents. The other day I almost witnessed a boy get hit by another "Soccer Mom" in a Cadillac Escalade, the boys mother was so engrossed picking a kids dvd to baby sit her kids in the back of her SUV, & ignoring the other child that was rolling ground asking over and over if she got his movie.

Of course you can chuck this up to anyone, but, where I live & what I see, there is some stuff that you may think is just not right with these "Soccer Mom's." I might be biased though, because I am somewhat of a pillar in the community, and coach in it. Also at the same time, some of the best people I know are what you may consider die hard, self pro-claimed "Soccer Mom's"

Yea LA, I read some google results, and a lot of what I saw and agree with, are the statements about "Soccer Mom's" blaming their problems on outer forces. Things may be more sensationalized, glamorized, or publicized due to media, but these things have always existed is some way, shape or form. Adapt, I don't see myself blaming to many people or things for my child saying or doing something I don't approve of. It is my responsibility to rear my child to think, act, do, say, etc what I see fit.
