The thing is, Obama is not a take charge person and he never has been. There's nothing wrong with that, but I suspect Republicans expect that behavior due to the crisis. Though Obama might be damned if he does...he might then incur the "angry Black man" wrath..It's a new territory being walked by Obama as the first "Black" President whose country is also having a meltdown.

I recall Clinton did the Welfare to Work (??)program, but never knew they had a 5 year lifetime cap or that it's still currently in place today. Interesting stuff.

 

Here's the TANF (which is now called Temporary Aid to Needy Families) limits. Some states have further limited the time - I think Michigan now limits it to 4 years lifetime. So this "generational welfare" bunk is just that, bunk.

LOL, really great post, GL! Had me laughing. You know, Obama did say in an interview recently that if he didn't do another term, he and his family would be fine with that..that his family is not driven politically like that, that he must win for winnings sake.

I got the sense that he really is becoming mentally exhausted by taking over "the titanic", you know...

 

It's really sad how some people don't know how to channel their anger, jealously/possessiveness, resentment and what have you. I know some people can rile someone up to the point where you'd want to kill them, but that's where the former needs to be executed.
