who is really hurting the black community when it comes to down to it

due to the election of our first black president have we evolved or we spiraling downward.... has the black community headed for a down fall.

9 times of 10 when they talk about this they will point at the fatherless home...so is the mans fault for not being around.

I have talked to a lot of men who are divorced and they say the following:

man, my ex gives me hell to see my child(ren). I cant afford to go thru the BS to get an atty and go to court and beg someone to see my kid on a specific date. that is BS along with the fact of the expense. It got to the pt i just send the child support and be done with it because if i dont i will go crazy and broke.

what about the pastors and the civic leaders are they really doing it right or are they just placating?

I remember watching episode one of season 3 of the boondocks. In it, Huey barely does anything. He has no excitement for Barack. You know why? Because electing one guy to office isn't going to dramatically change your world. So I don't get the Barack connection here.

Honestly, I could careless about all of them. That's not my dad. That's not my child. That's not my responsibility. If everyone handled their business, we wouldn't have so much problems. I have never met a civic leader in my life. I am agnostic so don't care too much about what the pastor says. I agree there needs to be equal rights and all but even if everything was fair for everyone. You would still have the poor because some people don't take up responsibility.

 

That episode was so true. People let the fact that since he had black in him get in the way of everything else, and the dick-riding went way too far. Thugnificent, as well as a few other characters, represented the black man who suddenly becomes educated in politics, but don't know a damn thing.

 

the connection is ( I should have elaborated on it) is when the tavis smiley's of the world got on TV...( ie that national black conference they have every year on CSPAN) they got all giddy when he got into office . they started in on the black men saying we have no excuse for not achieving. They also noted that he has a great family and he is a responsible father and bm need to step up. That part really pissed me off but Im gonna just throw that out there and let it be for the moment...

 

No one has suffered like tavis smiley did with Barack Obama. He lost so many black fans because of his critique on him. Tavis is clearly a fool if he thinks like that. Look at the white population! We have had 43 white presidents and they still have the same problems as the "black" community. I'm just saying maybe it is not who you elect but what you do and how the environment influences you that counts.

I don't know but I saw him on c-span with a bunch of other very very pro black people like lewis Farrakhan. I think he is aboard with Obama now.
