Who has the better chance? The preppy type or the thug type?

This one is for the guys. Who has the better chance of meeting a WW that shows interest the preppy type guy or the thug type guy? and i mean HONESTLY. What type does it seem they go for the most?

To be honest, it's entirely up to the woman. You see, girls love thugs and bad boys. Women on the other hand, love good men. I know a lot of women are attracted to that image, but it is just that, an image. It fades away pretty quick and then they're left to rue it. But i have told you the most important things. It is entirely up to a woman what she likes.

 

Mostly the later but the former would be hanging with big money brothers.

 

Funny that you would ask the guys what they think WW might want, but not the WW here what they actually want!

I have a preppy style and I don't think that it gets me any further with white women [For the record my preppy style has been with me for as long as I can remember -] but it has not hurt me with the type of woman I'm after.

I have seen some nice white women going after the "Ultra Thugs" and looking down on the "nice brothers" but I think that's more of a woman thing than a race thing or a style thing.
I think that women who say they want nice guys and actually go after nice guys are few and far between. I think we've all heard the term "Too nice."
Which I still don't fully understand.

Anyway, if you can pull off the streetwise homie school boy style.... You may have more women than you can count. :lol:

 

I say do your own thing, rock your own style, work hard, make that money and the women will find you. It's really about what you want not the other way around.

 

I dunno... the thug type never did anything for me. Because such a guy will open his mouth and you realize that his entire vocabulary consists of ten words, most of which are unprintable, and... nah. I like a guy who has "classy" written all over him.

I think this is a really good question. In all honesty, i'm surprised when white girls don't go for the thug type of black guy, because that's the kind of guy that they're used to seeing on the t.v., and somtimes it seems like there is an overall fascination/interest in the hip hop culture, and not necessarily the black man himself if you know what i mean. I'm sure that things are different depending on the varying age groups, but in my age group, from what i've seen sometimes, a lot of white girls seem to be really intrigued by the culture, and if they're intrigued by the culture, that means that the hip hop kinda guys are gonna be the most attractive to them, because he's the kind of guy that embodies the culture that they're attracted to. When a white girl looks at a preppy kind of guy, it doesn't remind her of the culture that she's come to be so fascinated with, so in my eyes, the preppy kind of guy will have a much tougher time trying to impress her. Of course, i could be wrong about all this, but i just thought i'd chime in and give my take on it. :wink:

I couldn't agree more Chris. Very good point. There is definitely a difference between women compared to girls. :wink:

 

I don't really go for either. Although there are aspects of thuggish clothing I like. Especially doo rags on black guys.... like how they look on Nas, mmm.....
All I require in a black man is that he's smart as hell, and witty, too. And usually when people are smart they have good principles, and wisdom, you know...so intelligence is the key. Then I'm happy.

Like Cris and Bryant said, its true I normally see white girls with thuggy types, but the white ladies are with the more sagacious looking, smartly dressed guys.

:? This varies so much from woman to woman, but in my view and real life experience, the one who has the best chance is the one being his authentic self;whether he truly is a "thug", or a "prep."
A woman can intuitively spot a phony, and there is a match for every kind of person that exists, damn near guaranteed, so there's no need for pretense on either side of the coin between "thug" and "prep."
My desire is for an "eclectic/pragmatic"type of white woman;and I never fit into the prep or thug mold very well at all.
Perhaps some can pull off the chameleon act, but I'd bet a few dollars most ladies see through it after awhile.

I just couldn't agree more. Usually girls who look for an image (thug, usually) rather than the real self of sb are quite superficial. Well, and not only girls, but anyone I believe.

Also I think that what really attracts women is the confidence of a guy. And I believe that an authentic- "thug" guy transmits confidence-waves around him.

Don't you think?

I find that I am most attacted to a person who has strong or passionate beliefs about something more so than the person being passionate about themselves. For an example, any woman who will take me by the hand and dance the entire night away to good music without a second thought, simply because she loves music, wins me over because she's confident enough within herself to express what she's feeling inside without it ever being "about her."

In America most WW wants a thug while in say Oz or UK it is either brother that can fit the image.
