It's a long video but worth watching. I remember watching it on TV back then, & it was a great show.I especially enjoyed seeing Whitney getting out there & dancing...which any true fan knows was not her strong suit ;), but she did her thing out there.

I will afford this beautiful blackwoman some courtesy on this last day of her life.....After-all, I grew up on her music rich with fond memories.....But I have to say, She was never the same after meeting Bobby Brown and his recreational influences....He is greatly to blame for her decline and her tragedy.......

Clive's pre-Grammy party went on, and he did attend. Ironically he introduced Whitney to the world at his pre-Grammy party all those years ago..and tonight he discussed her death.

But oddly, going by the (mostly) smiling pics of all who attended, you'd never know Whitney died and her body just removed...

    ---------------------

Also, the cops refused to let her daughter see her mother's body, nor Diane Wawrick. Bobby-Kris was hysterical over this, and I don't blame her. :(
There are warrants to search the room and a full investigation is happening.

...In 2009, talking to Winfrey about why she took a break from show business, Houston said,
"It was too much. So much to try to live up to, to try to be, and I wanted out."

This beautiful song was from her recent album and she wrote/sings it to God...
Very sad, yet uplifting as she looks to him to free her from her battles.

Very sad story. I hope that one day artists can find a way to deliver their talent and artistry without dragging themselves through such deep personal pain to do it.

This is a really good point. The entire industry would have to change and the way we view our celebs would have to change too.

And of course, some of that pain is what lends them such a strong talent and for us listeners, such a real and unadulterated listening experience.

Hopefully, the media will let her and her family and loved ones rest and grieve. But that's not the role of media. Drama sells so we will probably be getting all the dirty laundry and then some. Such a shame.

Just remembered the Grammys are tonight. The conspiracy theorist side of me thinks they very well couldn't do a tribute to Amy Whinehouse so Etta James and Whitney Houston had to go for the ratings. Let's be honest was anyone really gonna watch if this didn't happen? Hmmmmm

jennifer hudson will do a tribute to whitney houston tonight on the grammys...hudson was presented her first grammy award by houston and considered her to be a tremendous inspiration/idol...

Love Whitney to pieces & don't mean to criticize the dead but just coming back from sahara desert & thinking about the folks I saw.....lots of ppl stuggling for basic needs, patients die in the hand of a doctor due to lack of equipments, appropriate medicine, etc....make me wonder???? Whitney is got great fame, money, knows ppl in position of power, & lives in the 1st world with lots of friends. She should have gotten her life inorder, seek counseling, rehab, align herself with positive ppl, etc.....

C'mon Holyweird folks get yo shit together.

Anyhoo, RIP, a great talent and a mother left the world so young!

How ironic is that, that she was doing a pre-Grammy press release explaining Whitney’s effect on her musical life.right before the news broke.

When she willingly exposed her daily life on her and Bobby's Reality Show, Being Bobby Brown, I was expecting her to be erratic and high..and despite reviews confirming it with worse descripts, I found her to be the MATURE of the two..often embarrassed by Bobby's crazy behavior.
I really grew fond of her during a time when people were really ripping her over their antics.

Her daughter was rushed via ambulance to the hospital this morning.

I don't get Bobby not rushing to be by his daughter's side last night, choosing instead to sing cheap throw back-songs with played-out NewEdition ex-band mates.
