When I was chasing after asians and latina's I wanted to get a skin bleacher and lighten myself so I would be attractive to them. I was young and foolish mind you. Then with black women I wanted to give myself a tan because they always called me "Burnt butter scotch" I am lightskinned but not high yellow lightskin.

Actually I have two tones and I have slight freckles all over me except my face neck and forearms.

But now that I am chasing white women I don't get that unhealthy need to change my color.

Not saying I won't EVER run into a white women that won't like me for my color.

And WW are my natural genetic choice in a partner.

    Stereotypes WW prefer.........

:? The general rule of thumb is when you see an ONLY, it's shamefully false.I've never heard the stereotype that white women prefer dark skinned males at all, anyway. It's silly to assume that anyone would be so monolithic in their thinking. But I guess that's the purpose of this thread, to discuss stereotypes like this.

    Re: Stereotypes WW prefer.........

This thread is referring to WW that would or do like black men, not all white women in general.

I just posted it for basic and/or indept discussion if someone mind can take it to that level.

    Stereotypes an Myths.

Okay, perhaps I misunderstood. I still haven't heard a stereotype regarding WW that prefer black males about skin tone. We've had that discussion on here in another thread. The white women who answered said it varied, I believe.Anyway, apologies if I hijacked the direction of your post.

all I can say is I love myself for who I am. I'm consider dark skinned and then others consider me brownskin. I don't really care because no matter what I'm still black. Most girls I've hanged out with or try to go with me never looked at my complextion. Alot them were lighter skinned BW or Latinos. Me just being a sweet and having the "pearly whites" is enough to get most girls to stop and talk. :D

The whole darkness conversation is so subjective. I think in order to accurately answer this...I'd have to see some scale of darkness and have it defined.

My daughter is black and I hear everything from she's so light to she's so dark. I guess it's all a matter of perspective. The other day we were at the park and this white woman and I were talking and something about the kdis came up and I listed the children's ages. She said Oh she's yours? I said yes she's mine. She said oh I would expect her to be much lighter. I ended up letting her off the hook and telling her that my daughter is adopted and is not biracial.

I've heard the same things about men I've dated. Someone will say dark, another say medium, about the same man.

It's funny...it's usually black people that will comment about darkness though. Maybe the white people are thinking it but are too PC to say something.

I don't really think about it. If I'm physically attracted to a man, then I'm attracted to him.

Color is hard to learn and you really shouldn't. My family outside of my mother father circle is really color struck on my dads side.
