white women also promote institutional racism against bm

this is to all the black men here who act like white women' shit dont stink. there are plenty of racist white women outthere. you know they dont call you nigger to your face but there are quite a few of them in the office. something that has dawned on me recently is that there is a misconception in the office is that only white men are responsible for institutional racism, the reality is that white women in the office are just as responsible. I think that while the law makes special arrangements for white women (or women of any colour) who are wronged in the office I believe the law fails to properly address the struggle of the black man, it appears that if a black man in the office is being mistreated in the office by a white woman he has little or no chance of justice because he will simply get stereotyped as being an aggresive out of control man picking on the precious white princess, his only chance of getting any justice is if he is in a relationship with a black woman who works in the office in which case because they usually outnumber black men in the office they can use what I call the "black womans network" to put pressure on the person and get you justice, if you are a black man who dates white woman and ends up having a problem with a white woman in the office then you are screwed as the black womens network will not throw you a bone (in fact they will add fuel to the fire) and the white women in the office will gang up on you and character assassinate you.

I now realise that the reason things havent changed as much as we would like is because alot of bm are in denial of the presence and influence of racism by white women. I can tell you that the sort of shit I've been put through in the work place over the last week has made me fundamentally start disliking white women, no let me rephrase that has made me fundamentally start hating white women, I think I always knew that alot of white women in the office where quite racist but I ignored it hoping my personality would shine through and eventually the little sniping would stop (aint it funny? i believe most black people can tell when they meet a racist but the ones like myself try to deny it and convince themselves that they can win the person over).

I'm now thinking of quiting my job cos i cant stand the stress anymore. the funny thing is that all the women of other races (indian, chinese, arab ) are okay and dont indulge in the bullshit.
I believe the current employment laws are bullshit, I believe the laws should be changed to offer more protection to black men in the office, it is no accident that there arent many black men on a corporate level, the reality is that there is a depth of bullshit that we have to put up with that the law completely ignores, the insecurity of white men, the blatant racism of white women, insecure black women worried that if you keep doing well that you might be dating a white woman etc.

its strange because black women in the office are given alot of protection alot of the stuff thats happened to me (as i watched my complaints ignored) when it happens to the black women in the office, heads roll. I believe that in the same way the law was amended to reflect the needs of white women in the office that the law also needs to be amended to offer more protection to black men in the office if not the current scarcity in numbers of brothas in the office will continue. it is high time we recognise that the most vulnerable group of people and biggest sufferers of discrimination in the office are in fact black man, things like stereotypes and passive discrimination against us makes us a much more vulnerable group and at the same time makes it very likely that if we are wronged we are less likely to get justice.

I work in the corporate world and racism is alive and kicking and there are some white women that push it just as much as some white guys.
I think/hope/believe that everyone here knows that already.
People are people as I’ve always said, so you have to see past the trash to find the good.
I used to work with a black guy that left my department because he found out there were some people working against him [one was this white female supervisor that he was “close” to or so he thought].
I told him that it was more because they saw him as threat and they were working to slow the competition. But then he told about some of the jokes they would tell around him and some of the things they would do and it was all just enough to let him know what he was up against but not enough to get them in the HR office. I tried to work with him but some people are more sensitive to that BS than others and he left.

No, I don’t think the people here think that white women are saints. Not if they live in the real world.

    uh? :smt017

So just to make sure that I get you right: If the white women follow the principle of "only take care of your "own" folks" they are racists and promote institutional racism (I agree here) but if black women follow the same principle and even kick your ass if you are socializing with the wrong "race", then they are simply "networking"?

    :smt017

Well,I guess as long as there are still black and white people out there who are appreciating it if their "own" people follow the concept of "your people" vs. "our people" and even put this concept over justice that long nothing will change anytime soon.

there are never enough black men in the office for you to be yourself and have a voice and that is also due to employment discrimination . I think in the same way the law recognised that the office can be a place that can be discriminating and intimidating to white women I feel the law also has to recognise that whatever struggles this women that have black men have it in abundance and even worse.
Im sure the white men in the office who used to gang up against white women could also have argued that they were simply "networking" but people who made the law rightfully put rules and regulations in place to counter this destructive situation. I now believe that the law must be amended to protect the few black men who work in the office if it isnt then the boardroom will always be an unfriendly place for the black man.

the sad truth about this is that I see this all the time, but I am actually the first person I know to raise this issue. I think its important this sort of thing gets discussed, because I believe there are plenty of black men in this situation who are fed up fighting against the invisible tide.

Tonytony, I hear you loud and clear!!!

I've been to HR and they take the "Let's keep the company from being sued" stance.
I've even been to the EEOC and that when I saw some changes but then you get marked as a trouble maker. I always have to cover myself [I still have e-mails from years ago "Just in case"].

It's sad and it's a hard fight because many times you will be out there by yourself.

All I can tell you is never give up.
Man, I've been so close to the end so many times and then you run into people that should understand but.....

If it means anything at all, I've been there.

Keep the faith Tonytony. Never give up man.

Tonytony, I what exactly happened on your job? The reason why I ask is because members here can't really give you any advice as far as what to do if you don't tell the whole story.

A few months ago, I wrote a thread here titled "Are White Women the Ultimate Drama Queens?" It told the story of a co-worker of mine who thought that he and this pretty, married white girl at work were on a level where they could flirt and talk about anything....until that girl reported him to Human Resources. The reason why she reported him was because he told her how he felt about her asked about another black guy that she appeared to like. She said that all of this had "scared" her. His first mistake was falling for a married woman and his second mistake was falling for a woman he works with.

I have been intimately involved with a black co-worker before and have had hidden feelings for a white woman I've worked with. Having co-workers as girlfriends is tough enough even when the woman is ok with it. When I dated this black co-worker (who was from the Republic of the Congo), there were many jealous women who tried to break us up (unfortunately, those women were black American women who didn't like seeing black American men with African women) and there were men (mostly black men) who wanted to see if they could steal her away from me. The women were telling her all kinds of ugly, stereotypical lies about black American men ("Girlfriend, he only wants the sex") and the men were doing things like giving her notes and waiting until I wasn't around so they could make their move. I was lucky that she was the type who knew how to keep others at arm's length and she would tell me what was being said to her. That relationship ended much later, after I changed jobs and our break-up had nothing to do with us having worked together.

But the main thing I have learned from that time until this time is that I don't think I'll fuck where I eat anymore. I hope everything ends up ok with you Tonytony and I hope you stop hating white women because of your experience at work.

:?: What I don't understand about what you just posted is if she told him that she was married and faithful to her husband then why does that warrant her going to human resources if he was just expressing how he felt. Now if he continued on with it after she told him what the deal was then that's a different story but other than that I don't understand all the FUSS.

 But just to speak on the topic of this thread, racism knows no particular RACE or GENDER...I'll just leave it at that.

Now this shit I find incomprehensible. Black American women who didn't like seeing Black American men with Black African women?? WTF!! Where is the fucking black power and pride? Where is the fucking black unity? One thing I never understood was Black American people who had it out for Africans. Like when they gang up to pick on children from Africa in school. I know that in many Black communities, there is a rift between Africans born in America and Black immigrants. I just cannot comprehend any of this. All that shit about brotherhood and sisterhood is a lie. While we like to talk about it, when it comes down to it, we can be as hateful as the whites. But we all knew that since it was Blacks who sold us to Whites in the first place. I am learning more and more that all of this race bullshit is just that...bullshit. I'm not saying that there isn't any racism. But racism is a symptom of something larger.

It is just another ism among others. It's just that in America, racism is the dominant one. The problem is mindset. IT used to be that conservatives could openly attack and advocate the eradication of colored peoples. But during the Civil Rights Era, this became widely unacceptable. So they started attacking homosexuals and Muslims and immigrants. And they've gotten many black people to attack homosexuals. When this is no longer acceptable, they will have to find someone else to attack. Perhaps, we are doomed to this kind of behavior forever, in which case I weep for humanity. Kinda makes me want to move into space and start my own settlement with people who do not like to hurt or harm their fellow man and woman.

I don't differentiate between WM/WW because the similarities are too great. The women can be just as racist or decent as the men. Out of necessity, BW, like ALL women, started doing what it took to learn skills and gain qualfications in order to enter various positions, and we've faced racism from WM/WW alike...it doesn't matter. Since we have no one to stand up for us we've had to do it in the workplace and elsewhere.

Many of you who are into WW go out of your way to uplift them and make sure BW are well aware that you share no connection to them in any shape or form, and we accept it and expect you to be 100% as well. You know the exact message you try to impart from jump. When trouble arise instead of rallying all the WW to your side you still want the luxury of turning to the very same women you've insulted and made darn clear you have nothing for. Ask yourself if this is right to expect support in light of your own attitude prior to the incident.

You once said that you "kept waiting for the angel" to come out in some WW you were having a hard time with. I've read a number of your comments and I doubt very seriously if you could even remotely view BW as individuals the same as you do with WW.

This is VERY true. And this is why it's not a good idea to promote stereotypes and bigotry against one-half of your race especially since it's not necessary.

I think you need to understand something, in my lifetime I can honestly say I have had 10 times as much problems with bw as I have done with ww. what I am experiencing is recent and just so you know it was provoked by a bw.
In the past even though try i as I might to be nice to the bw, the minute they found out I was dating a ww thats when it all started in the office.
I can honestly tell you that I wouldnt have half as much problem if it wasnt for the bw in the office who started slurring me, in the end one of the bw in the office eventually got fired after I filed an aggrieviance based on "defamation of character" this was after she told a pack of lies, ok do not use what I have said now as an excuse to come out and have some sort of bw rant because I have seen first hand that alot of bw in the office go out of their way to character assasinate and make it hard for bm because they worry about office bm dating white women. unless you are one of these bm who beats his chest every 5 minutes shouting " you love bw" then they wont leave you alone.
I would go as far as saying that bw play as big a part as wm in forcing bm dating ww out of the office.
when I first joined, I was shocked to see the bw in the office simply picking on the bm and forcing them out, you could see because they were dating wm and the wm knew if they came up front that you would call them racist they sent the bw, its almost like they were acting to appease their wm insecurity. far from using there numbers to promote diversity, bw in the office have turned their numbers into an impediment particularly to bm who date ww. there is not one single bm I know (dating white or black) who goes into the office looking to upset or put down bw, the reality however is when the black women in the office see you with a white woman they get uptight and become like a monkey on the persons back, your constantly trying to get them off. I wont even go into what the white men do when the see you with a white woman.
My post is for people here to know about that white woman can also be racist in the office against bm, it is not some sort of signal for people like you to come out and rant about whats wrong with bm/ww dynamics. if it was not for the black women in the office talking the shit that they did about me in the past It wouldnt be so hard to get justice but when people slur you (despite the person getting fired) it affects reputation and makes it harder to defend yourself.
in terms of the "angel" comment dont quote me out of context, i was using that to illustrate how bm think every white woman is an angel and keep waiting for it to happen.
I also wonder what you as a bw are doing on this site? I think its funny that as soon as the other troll left you returned. honestly I know what bw often do when someone makes this sort of thread and if I really wanted someone to tell me why I shouldnt date or associate with ww I would go down the street and ask any bw I can see.
My post was made to get the perspective of bm and ww on this site, if I wanted a general convenetional view I would have posted on any general message board. i am not interested in your perspective cos honestly I dont care what you have to say because I already know.

mosiah has also encountered interference from African men who didn't want him dating their women. This is not something you can place solely on Black Americans, but you should know that by now. Everybody who comes here, even those we paved the way for, feel it's their duty to indulge in hateful practices where Blacks are concerned.

Very few people openly admit what we already know. Here's an excerpt from an essay that deals with it honestly. I read her book also.

Arabs and the Racial Lessons of 9/11
    By Carol Chehade

Like countless immigrant communities before 9-11, many Arab Americans freely participated in covert and overt acts of racism against African Americans. This is no secret to Black people who already know that Arab Americans have the same type of superiority complex that European Americans do. This superiority complex is not only evident in the way we act toward Black people but in the way we choose to disassociate ourselves from their community. Our disassociation would not be so evident if we weren't ruthlessly trying to move up the racial hierarchy so that we can be closer to Whiteness. Unfortunately, every non-Black immigrant group has worked hard to secure a so-called respectable place above Blacks on the racial hierarchy. When groups like Italians, Jews, Hispanics, Asians, and now Arabs have faced their turn to be questioned on their allegiance to upholding the caste structure, few fully challenged the legitimacy of this racist pre-condition to be accepted as Americans.

All I can say is I can't imagine what kind of place you work in, but all I got from you spiel was a desperate attempt to switch things around while demonizing BW because you still want to use and depend on them but have to stand on your own two feet. Being in that situation if all you need is a WW to completely change your world then I say go for it in your case. I still think you should be rallying the WW to your cause though. BW are glad to see BM holding their own any place because we face the exact same realities whether it's in you to recognize this or not. Actually it comes natural to those who share some sense of community like every other group on the planet. Sometimes these little jobs go to your heads and combine that with an inflated ego and playa mentality and it's no wonder you often find yourself in workplace disputes.

  19. tonytony

    tonytony New Member

    more stereotypes!!!
for one I dont have a "playa" mentality. i've been with the same girl for over 4 years but the black women always assume that I've got someone else irrespective of what I say and its not done in a flattering light so I know better than to entertain those sort of suggestions, funny enough the white men who go round asking and being rejected by every woman in the office never get the womaniser claims thrown at them, for two I dont find myself often in work place disputes because being a black man with the sort of prejudice and racism I face from both black and white, it would be stupid because they would use that as an excuse to force you out.
but being a black woman on a bm/ww website its no wonder you spend so much time pitching stereotypes, do me a favour alright? just leave my thread alone, If your gonna pitch stereotypes at me then I dont care what you have to say.

I don't find it at all surprising that you purposely neglected all of the valid points made about racism in the workforce against (young) black men, just so you could flip the script and start again on your psychotic agenda against this site (which you seem to be so obsessed with) and pretend ONCE AGAIN that all black women are 'innocent and pure victims' of 'black male hatred', like you always do, LEXINGTON... not to mention the fact there are FAR MORE websites ran and owned by black women which contain nothing but black male bashing all over them, as well your precious little magazines like Ebony, Essence, and Oprah's magazine, along with you outnumbering us nationwide and having much more clout in the media.
