    a quote from this kid:

"I was going to talk about our(biracials) daily issues but my camera went dead and I had no extra batteries. I just hate being one dropped and some biracials, as you may or may not know, feel white in all honesty. "

    So basically he says..

"I hate being partially black. If I have black in my blood, I want more than 1/2 black.(because 1/2 is the same thing as 1 drop). I wish I could be white without having to be black too. I have identity issues."

Using blood quantum is a very caucasion/Eurocentric way to identify oneself. It was imposed on the Aboriginal people of north America through legislation and screams racism to me. What the hell is blood levels of a race? Is that even possible, give me a break! Unfortunately many groups, including some Aboriginal bands in Quebec use blood quantums to qualify who is "Indian" enough to be a member of their band. Can a person take a blood sample and say: this person has 50% of their blood from Rwanda, or 16% of their blood is obviously from Germany. I think it's so ridiculous.

Actually according to some studies on DNA they can.

My bad, I had no idea. Can it be pinpointed to a colour of skin too?

Wow, I just found a study from Stanford on that. Thanks for letting me know Tinkerbell - I have some reading to do!

Hey SoCal. I understand what you're saying, but will give a different point of view. I saw the video as a frustrated lash out against society...

Perhaps he's making the point that just because he's part black, doesn't mean that he is black. IE - people assume he's a light skinned black man, or that because he's black he will behave a certain way and/or have certain attributes....

It seems to me that many biracial people either choose to be "black" or "white" in their behaviour/attitudes/culture...etc. Perhaps he just acts white, grew up white...

Don't know - just throwing it out there.

That mulatto dude just has some general hatred for blacks

you should see some of the comments he makes on youtube lol

he reminds me of the mulatto "white" supremacist Leo Vincelette Felton

Well he does make one good point that often we see bi-racial people as black but not also white they are both. Now it's no mystery he has white skin but how do you feel black or white? You should feel like you, not a skin color

I understand the kid's point of view. He's going about it the wrong way though.

He's the kind of kid that would take it soo far, he wants to be a white supremacist.

He's not self hating. He's just sick of black people not acknowledging his white side, by "forcing" him to call himself black. It seems to be not quite uncommon in American biracials, judging on what a lot of biracial Americans write online..

Here's what one biracial woman write (as a comment on youtube):
    Quote is taken from here...

What she's writing about is the same attitude I've seen over and over again on this forum. All the black American men, and many of the American women, have told me that my son is black. I'm sort of wrong for saying he's not. But he isn't black. His mother is white, and hence he's no blacker than he's white.

No he does not want to be a white supremist. He wants not to be called black, cause he isn't black. He's biracial.

Ronja, you just don't get it.

    Here's a quote from MixedBoi:

"Silly Faggot, Dicks are for chicks. I have to go to bed so i can revamp myself for a all white party i'm going to and maybe a few niggers will be there. Either way, I'm going"

    Here's another quote from him:
I've had more discrimination from the black side then the white side.

SO: if he doesn't like black people, why do you think that is?
No offense, but if anyone repeatedly "forced" me to reject one of my parents, I wouldn't like them either.

No doubt: Mixedboi is a confused young man. If he has faced the attitudes to the ones on this forum his whole life, I have no problems understanding why.

Many American black-white biracials say it: it's generally NOT the white people who force them to "choose side".

Here's what a very smart cross-dressing Irish/Jewish/African-American/Meherrin/Indian (or as you might call him: "black man") have to say about choosing.

Cross-dresser or not cross-dresser. If my son speaks like that when he grows up, I know we've done a good job!

Many bi-racials aren't much lighter than black Americans with two "black parents." Considering the average "black" person is nearly 20% European by blood, most bi-racials are more white than just 50-50.

I think the reason a lot of blacks have problems with biracials is because some blacks feel that biracials go out of their way to claim that "aren't just black but also part white" but that if no one thought they were black...they wouldn't be so quick to correct that assumption.

Biracial kids have it tough sometimes but no more than the dark-skinned black girl that gets made fun of because she is dark and doesn't get asked on dates at the rate that the light skinned/biracial girl does. Of course you could also say that it is easier because the dark-skinned girl knows where she fits in where as the biracial girl may not be as certain.

Biracials may catch more heat from blacks...but that has as much to do with the fact that we as black people generally talk more shit than whites. I'm sure white people say things but they aren't as apt to do it to your face without provocation. Consequently...biracials think that they get targeted because they are mixed...not realizing that blacks...especially black kids (remember I was a black kid not long ago) will tease anything that moves. You can be a zebra...you can be super dark black midnight...you can be dookie brown....too tall, too short, too skinny, too fat...too goofy...hair is too straight...hair is too nappy...anything. Trust me...go on the playground at a school with a lot of black children and you will laugh until you cry...comedy central couldn't come up with better material.

Until biracials all decide to think of themselves as "mixed"...they will be splintered since some like being thought of as black and others do not.
