Can you all please help me with ideas of places I can hang out at to meet a hip brother in Fort Worth, Texas? I'm also interested in meeting online as long as the man is brave enough to actually meet and hook up and is not just a game player pretending he wants to meet!

Those are my attributes I listed. I happen to have expressive blue eyes. Since I can't figure out how to shrink my pic enough to get it on my profile I thought I'd best describe myself a bit. Hi FWsensualboho: welcome! I would like to know, what do you call hip? I am from the suburbs of Fort Worth and there are many style here in Texas and many places to go in the DFW area to meet singles. I usually head for the the restaurants and jazz clubs, art musuems of Dallas, but I do love the Amon Carter Museum, the Stockyard, Billy Bobs, The Cattlemans club and Circle 8

I have a home in Arlington and family in North Dallas, so I know the area well

If you care to share what your meaning of hip I may be able to point you to the sort of place you are looking for

Basically, what I mean by hip is someone who isn't a conservative businessman/Republican. And no "Carltons" or "Urquels", please! Preferably someone with an open mind, keeps up on what's happening locally and around the world. An enjoyment of art and music would be a big plus. Someone who would enjoy the company of a hippy/bohemian sort like me.

When I go to the Amon Carter I've mostly seen White folks and tourists. Maybe I'm going at the wrong time?

I'd appreciate any ideas you have for me!

As for museums, there is an African American Museum in Dallas. Usually, they will have pamplets to other black cultural events out.

There are also a lot of black theater/plays. Just look in the paper for those.

I am not familiar with Ft Worth, but if you ask at a Barnes and Nobel or Borders, which store has the largest African American section, that would also be a good place to find a brother.

cool, I am what would be called hip, in terms of knowing the arts, culture, jazz, poetry, city things but probably more high Art, of New York City. My sister is opening an african american history museum in Denton in a few years.

But I am of the conservative political persuasion, but arts, culture I am bohemian, and totally not urkel or carlton.

anyway, being a hipster you might check out your city alternative paper and check the scene, I know dallas has a blast of a scene
