Two reasons.. if people are reading from work, they don't have time to read through a long post. If I was at work and opened up this thread, I would have closed it for another time.. and maybe never got back to it... it happens..

Also long ones are hard to read without a lot of white space.. if you must say so much.. from time to time put in more space between paragraphs.. or shorter paragraphs for it to be more pleasing to the eye for fast reading


But honestly smaller doses is better.. if your thought is long, only start it out, and then come back in a short while with a little deeper thought on it... I promise more will read and respond
