i am amazed at what you get away with at work...you aren't looking to advance your career with this firm are you...every day you are on your blackberry answering threads here on the forum while at work and every summer you are boning an intern at work...it's summer right now andrae...where is your intern?

i just realized they probably don't come in the summer...tax season...so january?

 

Its a mixture we get accounting inters who come from december to april and then other interns for analysis and other insurance related jobs during the summer. Its summer my work is light and we have summer hours. Get out at seven on mon thru Thursday and out at one on fridays. I only do a good 18 to 20 posts a day its barely an hour out of my day and I rarely do lunch.

 

Aside from bragging like hell to your friends, I'd say that's all bad.

Been there done that. I got lucky. I would not suggest it.

 

Fraternization policies (and a bunch of others that I can't remember anymore) exist in ROTC, so I always frowned upon subordinates hooking up with people in charge (for what should be obvious reasons). Some stuff just sticks with you. That and the 'dont ask, don't tell' stuff.



In the real world tho, I am privy to alleged relationships between departmental directors (integrity much?) and their employees. The oh-so obvious 'special' treatment is a dead giveaway.

I'm really surprised that no one else has done that lol. It never seemed like a big deal because me and a lot of my co workers go out for drinks at happy hour on thursdays so it never felt out of line. I just prefer interns because there is never any emotional fall out. We hang out for a few months (many of them have boyfriends back home and don't get too emotionally attached) it always seemed like the perfect win win
