What's going on with you?

Yea..dehydration is no fun. Especially when you have a very low blood pressure already and then don't drink properly. Fainting is no yuck!

 

AutoCAD is used for 2D and 3D design and drafting. The engineers at my company use it to make drawings of the products we manufacture and sell.

 

Going for lunch with my Dad today. God I love that man.

Yesterday we sat outside in the shade and just talked for about 4 hours. I can tell him anything and he just listens, doesn't judge me and then gives me some of the best advice or comments I have ever heard.

I am so lucky, thankful and simply grateful that he is my father. He is so much of who I am....the best parts and the worst parts of me. I could not imagine my life without him or who I would have become without his wisdom and guidance.

It's great that you have that kind of relationship with your father. I do not have that kind of relationship with either of my parents. I grew up in a very negative, controlling, and judgmental family.

I have become quite aware of the many issues that caused me grief growing up and into adulthood, and stuff that I still have to deal with today.

My goal is to achieve that kind of relationship you have with your father, with my daughter. I don't want her to ever be afraid to say anything to me. I will not be judgmental with her. I will be and am supportive of her. I want her to have high self-esteem and want her to have the confidence to achieve what she wants to achieve.

It was not always this way. We had a rocky road for a looooooong time. When I needed him the most he was FINALLY there for me. He knew what i needed even when I didn't. It sounds cheesey but he gave me a hand up rather than a hand out. He made me work to find who I was again but I always knew he was there for me. Now I know no matter where I am, there is someone who loves me and supports me no matter what. He is ALWAYS flying my flag loud and proud LOL

From your posts I don't think you have anything to worry about. Your daughter is a lucky girl to have a mom like you. One day she will write about you like I write about my dad.

My son is having surgery today to fix an umbilical hernia, I'm kinda nervous because he is only 3.

i have him on my list...just wait until he gets to come home and he has cool cartoon bandaids and the little special slip proof socks they get...and for sure some kind of yummy treat to make him feel better...only kids can make a hospital visit about presents
