Here is my newly painted office. I started a while back, but after 6 coats, I ran out of steam and had to let it marinate for a while.. finally got two more on and it looks spectacular - its a candy apple red and I LOVE it (the picture just dont make it justice). Wont do it again anytime soon!...
If some chip occur it would not be a good idea to pull at it

That L-desk is 80 inches long, solid wood top with a heavy metal frame.
I had to be assembled upside down (due to the way its engineered) and it was a bitch to turn. Could not flip it from either side. I eventually slide a big hammer under it to the middle to get my fingers under it and with a lot of swearing and sweat got it flipped up.

Im so happy w it - now I need to figure out what window treatment I want - I was leaning towards plantation shutters in white but decided against it due to the candy cane factor that might occur w the red and also as the desk needs to sit where it is now and it would be not functional to open and close them...

Looks great FG! It looks like the same color I used in my son's room, but fortunately it only took one coat and a few touch ups, 6 coats is too much work. Roman shades would look good, or bamboo shades, or slated white blinds. All of those could be mounted to the window casing and so that wouldn't affect your paint job, or require you to drill into the walls. I have some type of blinds on every window and another plus is that they cut down on the heat transfer into the house in the summer.

 

Well, this is the reason to NEVER buy BEHRS! But it was the color I finally decided I loved and knew going in that it would be a bitch (that and the fact that the primer was white!)(never again never again never again).

I was leaning towards steel grey roman shades as there will be aday bed in there that is powdercoated steel grey - as tehframe on the desk....
or slated blinds.. I like contemporary sort of masculin decorations so I have to watch it not getting to stark.
That is the south corner of the house and it gest HOT where I live so I will need some sort of heat tranfer barricade.

 

Cellular shades or thermal roman shades will give you the best insulation, and both should be easy to find in gray. White slated blinds or plantation shutters would also look nice, and you should be able to find the shutters in an interior mount as well. I considered plantation shutters, but when you do a whole house it runs several thousand dollars and that seemed wasteful since I planned to hang curtains too. But they do look really nice, and they add to the value of your house.

 

I have joined another band, are you ready for this? I've gone Country, that's right, Country music, well 'dirt country'. It pays well, much more than Heavy Metal music. In 6 months, I'm going on tour to promote the new album. Glad I didn't get rid of my 5 string bass.

 

MI'M so fucking pissed. My apartment got robbed. They took a bunch of nate's games and my roommates nintendo ds and the game nate bought me for Christmas. I hope it was another student

I am not fine at all..I failed- totally...an old friend was arrested for two years, innocent, he came out of prison last year, but his friends took all advantage out of it and when he came home, there was a big shit..today we tried to save one of his houses- but without any success. It was going into auction, i tried my best, even tried to make the bankers responsible personal, but there was no reaction at all. It´s not the end, I will make them afraid , but he is sad, disappointed and humbled. I don´t know, what to tell him...
