Thanks for not showing them all. Actually, I'm sorry I read it was hunting. By the pic, at first sight, I thought the guy was "saving" a poor hurt Kangaroo.

    :(:(:( no judging...

LOL, I'm with you TS, I can't do killing animals for any purpose other than to feed yourself if you're starving. But I had to learn to hunt growing up, it was a family requirement, and I never liked it. My Ex used to hunt, well he tried, his ability to hit a moving target was just sad, but anyway we had a deal that he could hunt anytime he wanted, but he was not allowed to talk about it at all, and if he managed to kill something he had to give it to someone else in the hunting party cause he could not bring it home. After about two trips he decided not being able to brag about who killed what just ruined the whole experience for him and he quit going.

ha! see, that's a good technique. U don't tell him to stop his passion, but you put him in the conditions to have to quit. Wonders of feminine gender

And hunting as a family requirement? Were you raised in Buckingham Palace? lol

I've been playing guitar for 8 years now, plan to keep sticking to it, but I decided I want to start learning drums. So that's what new with me now. I'm pretty excited.

    LOL :p

Well, that was the sole purpose for Aboriginal people before white people arrived, and the tradition has carried on. And in honesty, it's still the reason for a lot of folks. Nothing is wasted, everything has a purpose and nothing is ever killed just for the "sport" or the "glory". It's a very practical way of life. And I'm not overjoyed by the killing part, but I'm not one to hang back in my own little world and surround myself with my "city" comforts instead of immersing myself in Aboriginal culture and learning as much about it as I can while I'm here.

And furthermore, hunting trips are an amazing family bonding experience. They bring people together like nothing else. It was a really beautiful day.

You know it's true. And.................... it's delicious

Hey if you enjoy it Whikle, have at it. Like I said it was required that I hunt with the men in my family, however I was always a little pissed about that because I was the only girl required to do that, and I hated to kill things. But my grandfather was a stickler about learning to fend for yourself, so we had to hunt, clean, and cook what we killed... then we were supposed to eat it at family dinners but I just couldn't eat it if I was in on killing it, I'm a wuss I admit it. I agree that it's a family bonding experience, and as long as you eat what you kill I don't think it's a bad thing, there are overpopulation issues that hunting helps to curb, and I do believe animals were put here for our benefit. I just really don't see a reason personally to kill them when there's plenty of food wrapped in cellophane at the supermarket to choose from. Why kill and clean when that's already done for me, plus I really don't like that gamey taste that most wild game has. But as long as it's not simply done for 'sport', and observes gaming laws meant to prevent over depletion of specific species, I don't have a problem with it in theory, I just don't want to practice it myself.

Oh snid-did-dap! There's another fan of "Death" on this board?

Nice playing madam! It's interesting that you use upstrokes where others would use downstrokes. But it's effective.

lol you have NO idea. when i FIRST started playing guitar I used ALL UPstrokes, whereas people usually start off with all downstrokes. I was pretty unique in that aspect... dunno why but that's the way my hand just decided it was gonna learn. Anyways, thank god for alternate picking.

I play guitar as well. I'm a strict alternate picker but my position is "technique, schmechnique! If it sounds good, I don't give a damn how it's done".

Yeah i use alternate picking too 99% of the time, and I agree, if it sounds like it should, who cares how you do it.

In two hours my daughter turns 8. I can't believe she's 8 years old already. I only have a few more years left of her actually liking me. LOL.

    Time sure flies. :smt090
