My first job was work working for the YMCA. I helped with filing invoices and other stuff in their reservation sales department. It was alright, loved the co-workers who were mostly female. They tried to kick game and knowledge to me lol. Good times

Well Swedish people are both prude and not...it's hard to say. If I lay on a beach or go swim topless then families and stuff they don't mind and don't stare...it's nothing strange here.

And strippers here are not like in USA I think...most of us had it as an extra job just to earn some extra money. And not golddiggers....the girls I worked with was really down to earth. Some had husbands and boyfriends and they were okay with their extrajob....it is just a job! And we came to the party....could be maybe an 50s party with the guys parents and wife and stuff and we danced for 15min and then took our normal cloths on and stayed and talked for 30min....that's all. It was very harmless. I liked to dance and have men watching me

We have very few strippclubs here, maybe 10 or something...I could be wrong but I only think there's a few in Stockholm and Göteborg. And some girls working there maybe do more than just dancing. All people are different.

But the reason I stopped was that it was time to move on and I moved away to do studies for 2 years and after that a got my dreamjob as a veterinary assistant.

i was afraid that you might have felt offended and decided not to answer. i'm sorry for all the big words i used.:smt010 i tend to blab too much sometimes. and i start to talk too much and i go on and on. but you pretty much answered my questions.

i feel bad because you mentioned that you would like to come the states i think, and i have to be honest with you. a large majority of Certain types of American women would look down on you here if you mentioned that you used to be a stripper. i don't want to generalize and say ALL american women. but i think what you have said to me just now, shows how different swedish culture is from american culture.

i find it fascinating because yes all cultures have some form of dysfunction in them. But the personality of a topless dancer here in the states is clearly different from that of a swedish topless dancer. Here a nude dancer is looked down on by the average person. the attitude here is that strippers are a modern day version of a saloon girl. and we all know that they were mostly undercover prostitutes. and that basically they are looked at as gold digging - sluts. and a good deal of them are just that.

but i'm glad to see that in your culture that type of stigma is not going on at all. you have really explained things to me. thank you. its fascinating to me actually.

recently i saw news report of a small town religious group that tried to protest a topless dance club opening because the town was afraid of attracting a bad element of men to the area. and i have to admit that i agree about attracting the wrong element to the small town. men are pigs and are capable of anything - provided that we have the wrong motivation.

i don't mean to scare you. because you are or were a stripper, but you seem like a nice - level headed down to earth person who is willing to take the risk of reaching out and being nice to people who are strangers. you don't seem to be like the women in the rap music videos i just posted.
