Anyone ever get that greeting from someone that was white? I had this happen to me at work and I just ignored it. But, what ticks me off is the fact that some people expect me to react to them like "nothing much nigga" or something like that, the thing is I think it's ignorant. When another black person walks up to me and greets me they will say something common like "what's up man" or "Hey nice day, huh". I get the feeling some white people that come across black people expect them to sound or act black, it's equivalent to going to a foreign country and expecting the first person you see to speak english. I have no respect for people like that. I just needed to blow off some steam and get that off my chest.
I been there man, like a month ago. A co-worker of mine did somthing similar to that outside of work. We were in a social setting and ppl were having a good time so I let it slide. It hasnt happend since, but u get a weird feeling like am I a coon or sellout for atleast not acknowledging it.
:::shrugs::: As long as they don't do it in a manner where they are mocking me, I could care less. Actually being that white people are the biggest consumers of hip-hop music for over a little over a decade it's expected.
I had once a bro say this to me. Told him if he ever call me a nigga again he will get a boot in his ass from me.
For those that know me, black guys don't come up to me and say "What's up my nigger" I would crush the fucking life out of him. Where the fuck do you work a loading dock? Dude up grade your life. ....but what is worse FAR WORSE than that is that you were too much of a coward to correct him. Word. Coward.
