You're right about the rumor. I should've prefaced my statement with a lot of BW think he's gay (or maybe I should say "some"), but my whole point was that I've never heard any woman find him attractive and I don't think it's cause of the gay rumor thing either. I think only the ladies he dates find him appealing.

I don't subscribe to the theory that just cause a brother is sophisticated and well-spoken that he's gay.

    its ROOMER not rumor, thanks

Besides, my whole point was in reference to how black men are initially perceived (i.e based solely on immediate first impression). And i pointed that HE would get better reception, especially from white women, than would a guy like kimbo slice. What you’re referencing is his character and demeanors, which "could" be perceived as "gay" (just like dennis rodman was called gay) and thus less attractive to some women (or as you said most women)….still though, women would love him off based on first sight.

    Aiight, it's roomer...

I hear what you're saying, especially if it's Kimbo vs. Tyler.

I personally don't think he's gay, but he does have a little twang going on, but that's not why I don't find him attractive. I just don't find him physically appealing and I like men who are more of the strong silent types. He's a little too out there for my taste and this is not cause he's tall. I LOVE basketball players or taller men in general.

I'm a black guy and I think dude is gay or bisexual. I think I saw him on 60 minutes or some show basically saying he was abused as kid. I don't think he ever said he was sexually abused but I got the feeling that he wanted to say that but was ashamed or embrassed to admit that which is typical for guys to feel that way. I think its even harder to admit for black men because our community is VERY homophobic probably due to our strong religious beliefs.

Chi you are not helping the sterotype of white women being passive and nice with this post. You are "coming out swinging like Tiger Woods wife". Is she a researcher or writing an article probably not but I think people have been attacking her. I know there are alot of trolls on here but I think people should wait until she says something disrespectful before attacking her. She may not be telling the truth about being a researcher but maybe she is just curious.

I just had this talk with my boy last night about WW stereotypes from sucking dick to putting up with a lot of crap from BM.

How is this any different than a survey?

    Oh come on.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Statistical_survey#Online_surveys

The strength or weakness of a survey depends in part upon how well unknown variables can be controlled.

On a board like this, the problem of online survey research is far worse: how many people have been accused of having more than one handle? How many times per month do people sign up describing themselves as something they turn out not to be?

It would be like leaving a stack of survey questions unattended in a room and then taking the responses as valid, but it's worse because the subject is controversial enough that respondents are actually motivated to skew.

    Hello
I only defend myself and reasons for comming here when I feel I'm being attacked. No, IR relationships between bm and ww isn't shocking anymore and rather mundane but that still doesn't make them any more acceptable to some people. Believe me, I know this.

Yep but mainly if the men are too big, it's a turn off to most women of any race.

Clearly you have a problem with remembering the the good manners you were taught as a child. I would never deliberately insult another person like you do.

Lady, if you're writing an article, I'm Dwight Gooden. If you don't have the desire to write reasonably well to fake us out or can't be honest about your intentions, that's not my problem, though. I'll straight shoot with you. I like black men for the camaraderie and the laid-back cultural attitudes. I like their appearance. I've never claimed to be terribly complex. It's a preference. Why do I like lemon sorbet over raspberry? I think lemon has a cleaner palate, but really, it just boils down to inexplicable personal preference.

So when people see through your bullshit, you whimper that you're being mistreated.

Some of us have progressed past childhood. You might want to catch up.

Most Black Women I know are proud of their strength. You're kinda sensitive, emotional, and easily hurt. You might also want to do something about that.

    Alternately, go cry, emo kid.
